barry .... I totally understand your view but if the ethos expressed to me today where to improve the quality of announcements will be to announce only when an action is completed or finalised rather than what is simply being considered, then whatever is to be announced could take longer .... I'm assuming here and not speaking from fact .... looking back though, many investors were racked off over the last 12 months about what was being considered and never actually happened .... so it could be argued that this approach to announcements would be an improvement .... we shall see ....

i don't see why not.
their year end close was 10 weeks ago - how long does a trading update take to produce?
and the last announcement said 'refocusing of the business by end of february' so we are due an update on where that stands as well.
they've promised significantly improved shareholder communications so bring it on.

.... spoken to Peter Greensmith and I would have expected, there is nothing specific that could be relayed to a p.i. prior to a market release .......

.... however, as pointed out, the measure of expectation of the future of the company should be based on 'putting money where your mouth is' and as such the following should give an element of positive posture ....

'Libra Natural Resources plc (the "Company"), the international cleaner fuel
company, was notified today that Peter Greensmith, Chief Executive of the
Company, purchased 158,000 ordinary shares of 0.2p each at a price of 12.75p
each on 27 June 2007. As a result Peter Greensmith is interested in 10,910,499
ordinary shares, representing 5.35% of the total voting rights.'

........Peter's holding is only being added to and I would not risk a million pounds on a project with little future .... I would only remain invested in a project that provided me a very healthy return ....

Then there is the brokerage Liberum .....

....Nick Walker, who will be monitoring releases and progress for LNR also provided the same service for LKI while he was at Libertas ..... his reputation in linking with quality growth companies would not be something he wished to jeopardise, so this should be seen also as very positive .... the market will be watching his next commercial relationships, given his success with LKI .....

It was pointed out that when announcements emerge in a number of weeks, they will be advising of situations that have already been finalised rather than 'what will be and jam tomorrow' ...... also a positive ...

I might get my six week assumption after all .... we'll see....

barry .... with the extraordinary buy volumes showing up over the last few weeks ..... some investors / investment houses are already confident despite this .... but patience is a virtue I struggle with too ....

good luck mate.
surely having acknowledged their poor pr and shareholder communications in the past they would now realise the need to act sooner rather than later in order to restore some investor confidence.

barry .... Peter Greensmith is out of the office until Monday .... I will ring him on Monday and have a 'chat' expressing the concern about the speed of more positive newsflow ..... can't guarantee a difference will be made but talking rather than writing often instills a greater sense of urgency .... after all, I've got a five week deadline to keep ....

we've had drip drip pi selling pressurising the share price for the last 2 months.
the Mgt urgently need to get some positive info out into the public domain to alter this trend!
