28/6/2019 10:00 | It may also be worth underlining that the updated Otakikpo CPR was clearly created for a reason; phase 2. The number crunchers needed it to consider the project's value and how best to finance it. I hope it goes in some way to support the evidence that subject to funding it is increasingly likely that drilling starts next year. The numbers are good, but perhaps not unexpected as after all the JV need the reserves to produce these on target figures. You could say that it wasn't 'new news' and that it explains the subdued response - the large scale sellers would have already factored in these kind of figures. The other point from the CPR is clearly to underline that company's share of the 2P reserves demand a higher valuation, but the discount is likely to be a perception or results based problem; surely £2/2P barrel is not demanding? | josephrobert | |
