Posted at 03/8/2004 17:00 by gismo Just thought you might like to read this from Watshot:This morning the market makers have been 'shaking the tree' on Leisureplay (LPY) *. Leisureplay dropped from 22p to 18p at the lowest in a very fast price shake-out, it happened in less than 10 minutes. They have since recovered to 19p at which level I would recommend active traders to get in there and buy the shares. It is worth noting that the first deal noted this morning was a hangover from yesterday's trade - a purchase of 3 million shares at 22p. That is probably the reason why the market suffered the price fall, with market makers looking to get stock back onto their books. There is plenty of action to come in Leisureplay, so the game is nowhere near over, despite the steep rise over the last month. But please note that these shares are NOT for widows, orphans or those with weak hearts and wallets. The shares are highly speculative, even so I do see them going a lot higher. Others do too, otherwise why would there be such big buyers of stock out there? * I own shares in this company |

Posted at 02/8/2004 11:49 by gismo Just a small comment from MWM re LPY this morning:It must not be forgotten that both Hansard and Leisureplay* (LPY) - which I also rate as a buy still - are highly speculative plays. Even so they are both going better and in such dealing strength. This momentum cannot be ignored. My little birdie tells me that Leisureplay could touch 25p within days. |
Posted at 02/8/2004 08:33 by paddyfool and there is an announcement about which I am none the wiser other than LPY seem to have passed all their capital to Canada and ptm! |
Posted at 29/7/2004 08:53 by pipwattam TES - 50p and going nuts as we speakm if it does a LPY it shud be 200p! |
Posted at 28/7/2004 10:01 by mattyfromtheblock This share certainly is a one in a million share. I do agree with you Merrickman, that a substantial drop is possible and maybe even probable, but you have to look at market sentiment on this share at the moment with 92% of trades today being buys for LPY. I have been in since 7.24p (sold out at 11.5p, then got back in at 12.25p) so you could say I am enjoying the ride a little, but with positive buy to sell ratios still going through daily, this should keep rising nicely in the near future. I would definitely consider selling though once the sellers come in force though. |
Posted at 28/7/2004 09:33 by gismo From WatshotLeisureplay (LPY) * - yesterday I was fairly clear on my price prediction for the shares of this freshly funded company. I see them rising to 25p within days. Last night they closed at 18.75p, up 2% on the day, with a useful 11,130,873 shares turned over on the day. Despite the recent spectacular ascent there is a rapid 33% gain to be had by buying the shares today. |

Posted at 06/7/2004 20:18 by guru11 I have been told by a well informed investor that LPY is to offer more shares to the Institutions at 3p, I believe the number was 80 million, later on. At a price of 12p today surely this will dilute the current share price. LPY is extremely weak on fundamentals, expecting a lot of jam tomorrow, and this is an understatement. There was at least one sell today of one million shares. So where from here? My well informed investor is hanging rightly or wrongly in for the ride, but then he is in an extremely strong financial position to take the risk. |
Posted at 02/7/2004 11:26 by lacepalace when ever a company plans a new issue of shares, as proposed by LPY (80Mil at 3p) the present share price drops like a stone and hangs around the new issue price i.e KMR, ETQ so I am wondering why LPY would be any different - any helpers / ideas? |
