06/12/2017 13:51 | Yes, correct soup - maybe I keep thinking £1bn sterling. | professor pettigrew
06/12/2017 13:49 | Absolutely Soup, that’s exactly my assumption, the Notion investment was absolutely key for me to invest here. | lendmeafiver
06/12/2017 13:47 | Or all in the pink gb ! | professor pettigrew
06/12/2017 13:46 | $1bn valuation for VS would be worth 2.45p to LEG. | soupdragon55
06/12/2017 13:43 | gbenson, predictions of income from retail clients for VS are nigh on impossible to predict as is typical for a private company and private contracts. Unfortunately punters like us will probably never know how much they make per contract or how much they charge either as a subscription or unit charge. We can see how their NHS charging works, but whether similar applies to the private sector we can only guess. Funders of VS will be in the know, Notion will have had access to the full accounts. So we have to take confidence from their investment. | soupdragon55
06/12/2017 13:42 | I prefer to use the term lobster Professor, this time next year we could all be millionaires lol | gbenson1
06/12/2017 13:41 | Remember, Zaf has always insisted that eventually VS will become a unicorn company, valued at a cool billion. If that's US$ that would put a value on LEG's shares of over 3p just for the VS factor. | professor pettigrew
06/12/2017 13:37 | Yes, and thereby preparing the ground for an IPO next year. I reckon they'll have to break ground in the US first though. With their unique technology and service offering, the world is their (and ours) oyster. | professor pettigrew
06/12/2017 13:36 | the next due at end of month are crucial, strange how someone in the city cannot get near to a good prediction of potential yearly income for VS. | gbenson1
06/12/2017 13:32 | What matters is that they are winning contracts, growing turnover and Gross Profit during the short term. | lendmeafiver
06/12/2017 13:31 | My personal expectation is that the VS Net Loss may well initially grow substantially as they scale the business up, take on more staff, overhead, US office costs etc, that after all that is what the Notion Funds are for, to scale up. But you are right that Gross Profit should be growing but you may well not see that detail in companies house documents depending on VS’s turnover in the year and if they were required to undertake a full Audit. | lendmeafiver
06/12/2017 13:31 | Totally agree Soupdragon55, VS results for the past few year because there 9 months out of date | gbenson1
06/12/2017 12:57 | Well put soup. | professor pettigrew
06/12/2017 12:55 | Virtualstock @virtualstock · 27m27 minutes ago #Shoppers are changing the way they buy during peak trading periods like #BlackFriday and #Christmas - which is why many top retailers are turning to Virtualstock’s The Edge™ to ensure they deliver during crucial sales periods … | professor pettigrew
06/12/2017 12:54 | Zaf doesn't have the profile to get onto the likes of Bloomberg and CNBC. VS are very good at getting their name into the right places, hence the contracts they have. They don't need to be well known to the public because they don't provide a service the public would buy. The next results from VS are key as they will be used as comparison against the £94k loss from FY 2016 and will incorporate a full year of working with the likes of Maplin, Argos, Carphone Warehouse, B&Q and the UK's biggest retailer Tesco. People in the city are currently waiting to see if they can turn contract into profits. That will drive the VS valuation. | soupdragon55
06/12/2017 12:44 | Fully agree gb. Although the PR is increasing (and I was intrigued by yesterday's comments on the VS Twitter feed), I'm sure a lot more could and should be done. I said months ago that Zaf should have been arranging more interviews, on CNBC and Bloomberg to shout about VS from the rooftops. If he didn't want to do that, then someone from VS (or their PR if they have one) should be doing it. However, as you say Notion's capital investment and expertise are now in place, and their track record of success is very encouraging. Watch the share price go on the next news. | professor pettigrew
06/12/2017 12:42 | Take a look at Notion, their track record of technology investments, their expertise and experience of people running Notion, I think I would prefer and am very happy that Notion take the lead, after all they have invested the vast majority of the big money also. | lendmeafiver
06/12/2017 12:19 | lendmeafiver, that's what frustrates me with Zaf, our initial investment should have been followed through with getting interactive with VS board on marketing and sales, we're now playing second fiddle to Notion, although Notion's capital investment and expertise are what VS needed. | gbenson1
06/12/2017 12:11 | With the Notion growth funding there seems to be a lot of activity in VS currently, they have been recruiting, becoming more active with PR, personally I’m convinced that at some stage that money and resource will covert to some real newsflow. | lendmeafiver
06/12/2017 12:07 | Sam the man1 & lendmeafiver, point taken, however for the first time VS might actually have some income on their accounts which will be interesting to see how much, of course we need contract wins and I believe a US contract will come soon, given the shake up of the medical system and repel of Obamacare in the good ole US of A. Lots of M&A in US pharmas. | gbenson1
06/12/2017 11:58 | Yes, that's true Sam - so basically the valuation of VS is always going to be behind the curve as it were, unless and until they go for an IPO. Obviously a further raft of contracts will have to be announced before they can sit down with their advisors to talk about a float. Very interesting and very exciting times lie ahead here. | professor pettigrew
06/12/2017 11:54 | As is always the case with any technology company it’s value isn’t based on yesterday’s profitability but instead it’s future potential profitability, personally I am therefore more interested in contract growth currently than prior year VS companies house filings which are unlikely to be exciting or particularly revealing. Would love to see a contract win before the year end though! | lendmeafiver
06/12/2017 11:35 | gb The accounts on 31st Dec will only be for VS up to 31st March. A lot has happened since then 🍉 | sam the man1 |
