Attention surely now focuses on the other Permanent Interest Bearing Shares previously issued by the Coventry B/Soc, Skipton B/Soc, Newcastle B/Soc and Nationwide B/Soc.

Will they also try to buy-back their PIBS too ?

After almost 32 years, Leeds PIBS are effectively been bought back and cancelled.

Results of the Tender Offer

The offer period for the Tender Offer expired at 1.00 p.m. (UK time) on 27 March 2024 (the "Tender Deadline"). As at the Tender Deadline, £14,644,500 in aggregate principal amount of PIBS had been validly tendered for purchase pursuant to the Tender Offer.

The Society has, following conclusion of the Meeting today (as described below), elected to accept all valid tenders of PIBS in full.

PIBS Holders who validly tendered any of their PIBS in the Tender Offer will receive an amount equal to £1,945.35 for every £1,000 in principal amount of PIBS so tendered and purchased by the Society. This represents the sum of:

(a) the Offer Price of £1,900 for each £1,000 in principal amount of PIBS tendered;

(b) an Accrued Interest Payment of £25.35 for each £1,000 in principal amount of PIBS tendered; and

(c) the Voting Fee of £20 for each £1,000 in principal amount of PIBS tendered.

Hi, has anyone looked at the tender offer of 190p on these PIBS.
It looks far too cheap as they are buying in the PIBS on a 7% yield. If the offer is voted through the remaining PIBS can be called in and so it is important if you think the offer is too low that you vote against the proposals.

A quick intro from me - I have probably been trading / investing for about 3 years now and have learnt a lot in that time and I am still learning every day.

I think I have been very lucky to have met some great individuals on these boards who have been willing to share a wealth of experience with me and to keep me from the many pitfalls and perils associated with the markets. Although there are some great people on these boards, be aware that there are also many who seek to disinform or have alternative agendas which may not be in your best interests. i do hope that we can all keep each other right though ;o)

Anyway, I mainly trade small and mid-caps in the natural resource sector and some tech stocks. Very high risk but I like the rewards and I always try to research thoroughy.

Stock I like at the moment are AAZ, BHR, PINN, SLE, AR., RRL and many others of a similar nature.

Currently trade some physical but mostly CFDs long and short now that I have a bit more experience. I would like to be quicker at shorter term opportunity plays and taking advantage of more global / macro plays. The problem is though that there are just so many stocks to watch and having more of a focus upon small cap AIM listed stocks which are newsflow driven, I tend to miss things which are going on within the bigger indexs.

Welcome to the LBS Cafe

A new thread to enable the students and alumnii of London Business School and other friends to share market information, company research and to teach each other how to trade, invest and not to make mistakes. As we all know, it a bit tough to keep up with everything which is going on sometimes and I thought that this thread could help us communicate more effectively and help track ideas.

I am happy to post links in the header to good share sites, financial and business news and any useful resources.

Everyone is welcome and the idea is to have a bit of fun and share one's thoughts on the markets and trading strategies in general.

Having many people involved from so many different disciplines and trading specialties may mean that the thread loses focus. In the event that this might happen, we can always start up other threads to focus on particular sectors, invesment instruments etc.

Looking forward to meeting you all on here and in person - best of luck to all !
