Bean, there has been a rumour a while back that the malayian owners may tale LA private & by looking at the BoD it is not to be discounted. No advice intended but it was topical on this thread a while back in case you haven't read or were aware.

Anybody got any thoughts on why cash fell about £10m between Sept 12 interim RNS and the one in Sept 13? I would like to buy more here but sales numbers are not too great and online sales increase was awful.Spr, do you think there is a year end cash pile of £35m pre Moss sale in light of interims cash fall?

They'll have to pay CGT on it so probably nearer 6mm. Should ensure the divi is maintained even though I expect their LFL sales may well be quite weak.

Blimey another 8.5 million to the cash pile from the premature sale of Moss Brothers at 84p. Why did they rush into selling them, MOSB forecasts look promising & they are restoring their dividend strategy. Management too hasty to act on this.

Yes, bought more yesterday and Monday, 8.3% dividend
and a £35m cash pile cannot be ignored.

Would have thought the strong figures from Moss Brothers would have benefitted Laura Ashley considering we have an equity stake in them while we got in them at around the 30p mark over 4/5 years ago,Nearly a 300 gain on the investment.
