Afraid you're right! The decent started when that plonker Richard Glynn walked away from the 888 purchase for peanuts! Was an 888 holder at the time and was disappointed for a short while, but stuck with them for a 4 bagger! The worm will turn, but not for some time!

Broken through the double bottom, downtrend confirmed, a close below 100p would be bad news here.

Molatovkid - Not exactly true, more like less new entrants in the UK market since the license came into force.

LADS needs to focus way more onto the online business it shows that this is the way forward.

The William hill trading update shows the impact go poc on profits.

Many of the competitors will struggle to survive without Hills global reach and scale.

The poc is clearly having a significant effect

The fact that Neil Brown owns this share is reason enough to know that it is a stinker.

Long term profit decline and too many new entrants have stolen their market share

When available then I'd strongly recommend people to listen to the recording of the 9 AM conference call .

Basically the key message is that gross win margins were hit in Q1 due to adverse sports book results, but have improved in Q2 (albeit only slightly) – probably due to a good Grand National. Elsewhere Q1 cash conversion was very high at over 200% of EBIT.

Going forward Jim and Ian believe margins can further improve for both the retail and online operations.

In my opinion the dividend will definitely be cut but I don't see that as a major problem for medium to long term investors.

Clearly though there is still plenty of execution risk.

Thats the only thing keeping this price up, the tempting dividend yield. But I really can't see that being maintained.

The online is developing quickly - will it be quickly enough to push up profits to maintain the dividend.

With that yield it looks tempting

Not cut, passed in my view.

Don't see why the dividend is such an issue. Wm Hill pays a div of 12.2p and has a share price of £3.70, Lads pays 8.9p and has a share price of £1.04. So with the yield being near 9%, it is clear that institutions expect a significant dividend cut.

Add to that LAD has a new CEO who you would expect to do the old kitchen sink job (and it looks like he will do that by June), so it will be very surprising if the dividend is not slashed. Recovery in the share price depends on how his plan is received and whether the bid interest from the private equity sector is genuine.

The dividend is the key, if they cut this would have free fallen.

Clearly results are not nearly as bad as most were expecting. No dividend cut.

Today will probably bring more indications of just how bad things are. The press will contain a true oversight on thurs.
