Would anyone care to comment on th idea of buying Banks pref stock ie HBOA, ANLA, NWBD etc etc. Yields look very good, added safety should now be there with UK gov backing ( ok ANLA bank of Santander )Plus first call on divi.
Maybe added gains as banks consolidate?

Regards James

I dont know what to do!!!!
I have my long term investments, I have my trading ( fun ) shares. But I am sure I am not alone in wondering what on earth to do with funds held in cash deposits. I would like to start this discussion so that we can throw ideas about between ourselves and maybe come up with some ideas.
1. Gilts and bonds whilst the yields look good compared to deposits, when ( yea ok when) interest rates start to rise there will be only one way the price will go. Do we think its still worth getting in and watch closely for early signs of a rise in interest rates?
2. Prefference shares, The prices will also dip on interest rises.
3. Convertables any ideas?
4. Under the matress?

Hi all,

Thought I would share this with you. I signed up recently to a site called greasy palm. It basically pays you money to click on certain websites, sign up to newsletters, apply for accounts etc. I have made almost £200 now. Its really easy, you get £2:50 just for joining. I would deffo recommend giving it a try. Iam also a member of another 10 similar sites to this, and the money is really rolling in

This is the link to the greasy palm one. If anyone wants details of some of the other ones just let me know.

Cheers,

eggbird
