28/3/2015 10:22 | HSBC? Dodgy. In so many ways. | dt1010
16/12/2014 09:33 | abarton100, i have noticed on some accounts that trading SUK2, LUK2 are asking for experience before allowing to trade, the added leverage i guess. Shame most city traders don't get asked the same questions and barred from over leverage trading, so then we would not see the excessive market swings we are seeing now. P.S. There's a lot of data out today, but i see FTSE is putting in a nice bottoming pattern and have bought a largish position this morning. | lyonst5
10/12/2014 16:45 | I will not say to much but HSBC are more than a bit dodgy. Other brokers will trade SUK2 etc no problem. | freddie ferret
01/8/2014 10:19 | I have just found out the HSBC invest direct no longer allow me to trade certain ETF's. In particular LUK2 and SUK2. Has anyone experienced this with other trading sites/brokers and I would appreciate any recommendations for an alternative online broker. It is a pain because all my holdings are with HSBC and they offer £7.95 a trade for regular trades which is pretty competitive. AB | abarton100
09/7/2013 12:58 | Is it a consistent tracking error? Sorry should do my own homework, but is easier to ask. | freddie ferret
03/6/2013 11:37 | it doesn't really move at twice the rate the ftse does. there is a massive tracking error. | buffett100bln
25/10/2012 11:01 | Curious as to how this is priced- would have assumed it was simply 2x FTSE which is currently 5800- so why is it at 16300 ? | jeanpenty
25/11/2011 09:36 | Hi, wondered how FTSE yields are dealt with here? Its a good yield and if doubled? | mali7
22/11/2011 11:50 | Hi, on above topic yes, these ETF have wide spreads and I think DL2P is worst, tracks DAX and the spread during the day can move a lot. In general with these, you have to watch your own stops yourself. Now wondered, does anyone think its time to buy some for end of year rally? | mali7
27/9/2011 14:34 | Seems massively unfair if you can't see the details of the prices, but I guess that's the way it is with these etfs - you just need to watch them rather than setting stops. I thought that a stop at 125 vs 130 was wide enough, but obviously not! | ryandj2222
27/9/2011 14:01 | ryan Like suk2 there is massive intraday volatility so much so that any tight stops get triggered. If you have a Spreadbet account you can see the wide daily range on these etfs If you have an online account that allows you to get repeat quotes watch the spread move out around at the time of the release of sensitive news/stats Daily candlesticks will show you the extent of the daily ranges too Whenever there is any sensitive news the spread moves out massively often only for a few seconds but long enough to triggering stops. If you were unfortunate enough to buy during one of these moves you would be very out of pocket It happened to me when I got stopped out of a profitable day trade and I complained because I couldn't see where it had hit the stop loss. But they were adamant that a sale had been triggered. | s2lowner
27/9/2011 13:34 | Just got stopped out on this - stop loss was set at 125, price today hasn't been anywhere near that and the sale went through at 130. Seems a bit of a con to me. I asked my brokers and they claimed that price (125) was hit at 11:58. Is there any way I can look at historical spreads back to then? | ryandj2222
14/8/2011 09:46 | I don't know. Do you know anyone who does? If you do I doubt they'd be imparting their knowledge. The market is a casino. | buffett100bln
10/8/2011 07:51 | So buffet it is easy to get in , but where would you get out..... ie where do you see resistance on the ftse... best of luck | thecat
