Appointment of CFO
Kore Potash plc, the potash development company with 97%-ownership of the Kola and Dougou Extension ("DX") Potash Projects in the Sintoukola Basin, Republic of Congo ("RoC"), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jean-Michel Bour as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO").
Jean-Michel has a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies (Hons) with over 21 years' experience in the mining and oil & gas sectors. This includes a long period at BHP where he held several management and leadership roles, notably as Business Controller for the Nickel and Copper businesses and Head of Risk for Global Functions. Jean-Michel also worked as a consultant for Rio Tinto, designing and rolling-out a risk management improvement project for its Global Treasury, and has consulted for Anglo American.
Jean-Michel holds dual French & English citizenships and thrives in multicultural environments, having lived in Nigeria, the Republic of Congo, Cameroon, the Netherlands, France, US and Singapore.
Mr. Bour will report directly to the CEO and is not joining the Company's board.
As previously announced, the current CFO of Kore Potash, Mr. Andrey Maruta, has decided to stepdown from the CFO role effective 10 June 2021 to pursue other opportunities but will remain available to facilitate a smooth transition.
