By the way , I believe that the report making allegations against the way in which Burford Capital updates the value of the legal cases which it finds as they progress towards completion was made by an organisation called Muddy Waters . If you read the RNS issued yesterday morning on the website of Burford Capital , you will see how vehemently Burford reject such allegations and promuse to do all in their very considerable power to defeat such claims .

Gconvery . I’m sure you’re right that the reason for the fall here is due to events at Burford Capital , even though it operates in a totally different area of law ( there has been a report claiming that the way in which Burford updates the value of the legal cases which it funds as they progress is over optimistic , something which Burford categorically denied yesterday in an RNS which promised to do all they could to find the
Perpetrators and to prosecute them ) . The slump in Burford shares yesterday spilled over to the shares of its much smaller competitor and comparator company Litigation Capital Management ( both companies specialise in litigation funding ) , even though no allegations whatsoever have been made against LCM , and LCM updates the value of the legal cases on its books in a totally different manner . My PERSONAL impression is therefore that the fall in Keystone Law’s shares is totally unwarranted , but DO YOUR IWN RESEARCH .

Yes the results do look good. Do you not understand the market though there is no logic. I sold some of these on Monday but still have my holding since flotation.

With only one day's trading now until the RNS next Wednesday , the shares continue to rise ( up 1.8% ( 9p ) today to £ 5.00 / £ 5.18 ) . This in spite of today's RNS stating that Merian have reduced their holding from 5.8% to less than 5% . Also the comment in today's Investors' Chronicle , although stating the obvious , could be construed slightly negatively : " Investors will be looking for signs that Keystone's proprietary platform model is still successfully drawing in lawyer recruits " . So often shares wilt in the last few days before the release of figures , so let's hope that this rise continues next Tuesday and that it is the harbinger of good annual figures on Wednesday .

Full year numbers coming in exactly one week btw. Will be interesting to see how they finished 2019. H1 numbers were already superb with higher profits for H1 than all of FY2018. I expect 2019 numbers to be stellar. Will be interesting to hear first comments on trading in the new year.

The newsflow from Keystone's website has been very strong lately. Many new lawyer appointments (incl. an announcement on April 9 that 15(!) new lawyers were hired) as well as other announcements that signal that Keystone is really establishing itself increasingly as a respected force in the UK law industry. It's interesting to see how the growth trajectory has not faded at all for Keystone even as they years have passed. New lawyer numbers were running at +20% YoY in H1 2019, which is similar to the levels of 2012-2014. Based on recent newsflow I wouldn't be surprised if 2020 would see a similar, if not even higher growth rate.

I also took another quick look at Keystone's Australian subsidiary, 'Keypoint'. Latest number I could find from them was that they were growing partner-numbers with 42% Year-on-Year, which is very impressive. I understand they have ~45-50 lawyers, which is up a lot since October 2018 when their website claimed 35.
Would be great if they can keep up the high growth for many more years to come. That would both increase the value of Keystone's stake, may results in dividend payments, and could encourage Keystone to start sister-companies in other countries where the law is similar to UK law too (e.g. New Zealand, Canada, India?).

Probably just some idiot who put in a market sell-order when there was no liquidity. Volumes today were super low so best guess is that a lack of liquidity caused this.Company released no news and the trade volumes were much too small for an institutional investor to be selling.

Some thoughts on the todays fall, A possible tree shake by Market Makers to try and get stock that appears to be in very short supply... not sure that has succeeded about 24K sharestraded...
No share can continue to climb continuously, there will always be satisfied sellers who will exit when a given profit is reached ..and this might also have triggered what i regard as an exagerated fall..
Final results are due on the 8th May 2019 (approx 6 weeks time) ..
Finally, as we near the end of the Financial year, profits for tax reasons may wellbe being taken..
Keystonne is In my opinion a very unique share.. what I call a Disrupter.. and its target market is well due for some very smart disruption
Take your pick or others may wish to comment
