07/3/2014 10:59 | Not tempted to topslice, personally. I'm not overexposed here & I'm happy to remain invested in a what I believe to be a high quality business, offered at a reasonable price. Current year P/E only 13.8; PEG 0.5, according to S t o c k o p e d i a. Plenty of scope for further appreciation. Cheers, Mark Twitter @marben100 | marben100
07/3/2014 09:48 | Thirded rev. The story is now all about Houston. Don't expect much in the way of information on the 24th I suppose. Displacement activity googling only finds news about the purchase and an advert for a TIG welder. I keep being tempted to top slice as KENZ and RSW vie for top place in my roll call. 07/3/2014 09:03 | Cheers revoman - seconded in the Telegraph: "A contract win, estimated by Liberum to be worth some $150m, helped Kentz advance 18 to 768½p. The engineering services company announced that it would work on the second phase of the Moatize coal project in Mozambique, having previously been awarded the first phase in 2009." | rivaldo
06/3/2014 11:35 | Back on topic. From Liberum: Kentz (Hold, 712p TP). Coal project award in Mozambique Kentz has won Phase 2 of the construction of the Moatize Coal Mining Project by Vale in Tete Province Mozambique. Kentz started work on Phase 1 in 2009. The project is one of the largest coal mining operations on the African continent. No value of contract disclosed but we estimate c.US$150m. The extra work will give good visibility to out 2014 revenue forecast but 2015 numbers, which drive our 712p PT are unlikely to be revised. | revoman

06/3/2014 07:28 | RNS - another large contract win: "Kentz awarded Moatize Phase 2 contract in Tete, Mozambique by Vale Mozambique, Limitada London, 6 March 2014: Kentz Corporation Limited (LSE: KENZ), the holding company of the Kentz Engineering and Construction Group is pleased to announce the award of Phase 2 of the Moatize Coal Mining Project by multinational mining and metals corporation Vale in Tete Province Mozambique. The project, being one of the largest coal mining operations on the African continent, is welcome progress for the mining sector in sub-Saharan Africa. In 2009, Kentz was awarded Phase 1 of the Moatize Coal Processing Plant which became the company's flagship project on the African continent, where significant infrastructure developments were made to develop the production of coal products in Mozambique. Kentz's Construction Business Unit will be responsible for providing all structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and piping (SMEIP) construction services associated with the Coal Processing and Handling Plant, Crusher, Stackers, Reclaimers and Conveyors. Carl Dyer, Regional Managing Director - Africa commented, 'Kentz have a long-standing relationship with Vale Mozambique and winning the contract for the Moatize expansion is a great achievement. The award of this strategic project shows the confidence Vale has in Kentz for delivering projects in Mozambique.'" | rivaldo

04/3/2014 07:27 | Nice tip for KENZ overnight: "Buy Kentz says Nifty Fifty Co-Editor Steve Moore On the back of a trading update for 2013 last month, I updated that the rating of international engineering, procurement, construction and technical support services group Kentz (LSE:KENZ) in the context of a continually positive outlook meant that I continued to believe that patient investors would likely do well from the then 632.5p share price - see HERE. The following updates with the company having since announced two contracts wins and with the shares currently at 720p. Last week the company announced the award of a $640 million contract for the structural, mechanical and piping construction package for the Ichthys project onshore LNG facilities in Australia to its joint venture with Australian-headquart This is scheduled to commence in August and followed the announcement of a $62 million contract award to the company's recently acquired oil and gas handling business Valerus to provide the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of two compressor stations in the USA. Following also the positive January trading statement, which noted that the company foresees "the delivery of yet another strong performance in 2014", and with earnings per share forecasts for 2014 of circa $cents95 (57p, on revenue approaching £1.5 billion), the shares enjoyed a very strong run recently reaching 776.5p last month. However, having since slipped back to current levels and with the current positive trading momentum suggesting earnings per share of 65p+ continue to be realistic for next year, the rating continues to look not overly aggressive, indeed arguably undemanding, ahead of a 24th of this month scheduled announcement of annual results. 03/3/2014 11:16 | Maybe to do with Ukraine? Other oil services are down today, though not as sharply. .. | sheyac

27/2/2014 10:58 | Good info from MGW's blog: "Kentz Corp Kentz announced yesterday while I was up to my ears with Weir and Petrofac that they had won a contract at the Ichthys onshore LNG plant in Darwin, Australia. Make no mistake this is a very good contract to win, in total it is worth $640m to the UGL Kentz JV with a 50:50 split, so to put it into perspective it is 11% of Kentz' year end backlog of $3.1bn. Also this is for structural, mechanical and piping work and I suspect that with other pitching in for work, getting this part is a real bonus so stand by for more good news. The shares actually fell yesterday but I heard that there was an overhanging order the night below at 777p which cleared the market as this was coming out, either way this is great news for the company and investors. With the share price approaching 800p, I often get asked if the run is over for Kentz, which is my favourite service company at the moment, the answer is that if they continue to deliver work like this and with more to come, the rating is, as yet, still undemanding and its still a buy." | rivaldo
26/2/2014 18:13 | I honestly don't want to see a bid come, like an earlier poster said yesterday, I'd rather see 100% return yearly (and that's a fact YTD) rather than make a few quid now, besides last offer was a cheeky £6ish? Look at the share price nearly 6 months later. This time a bid would slide under the door for around a tenner I'd guess, but sit tight and we shall all see that soon enough, organically anyway.
