My apologies gdavies, when I lost a load on it it was pretty much focussed solely on Gold in, iirc? Mexico? I still think Gordon Riddler threw his gold watch into the Knelson Concentrator to up the grades. My memory of those days (not good ones) has no recollection of diamonds at all. Again, apologies. Ferrisc.

No Saudi news yet, I'm partly surprised. My money’s on it coming sooner rather than later, but I’m well prepared to be wrong. Good weekend all.

@ferrisc why so rude?
It’s pretty easy to google minmet diamonds to see how stupid you have made yourself look.

Shortarm so did I. Cambridge Minerals was a right fiasco. Signing a finance agreement with Bluecrest which forfeited a working mine to the financier upon not meeting a payment. They were a few days late making a payment I recall and lost the mine to Bluecrest. Complete disaster and another example of company's being run by well paid numpties. How could you sign an agreement like that? It's still alive as a delisted company as some directors haven't completely milked it's only surviving asset.
Hope Harry's funding agreement if it ever sees the light of day doesn't hold any nasty surprises!

At this price of gold and assuming a 60% interest in TK, NPV of the TK opencast mine + PEA for the underground is 15p+ at commencement of production. If the satellite Guji-Komto is added and it is assumed that the mining of the shallow highly oxidised ore can be brought on stream at commencement of the TK mine, add up to 40% based on previous estimates published by Kefi assuming no minority interest in that beyond the government's 5% carried interest.

So, Rio's target is not unreasonable if Hawiah is added especially and if Kefi will re-evaluate reserves taking a lower grade cut-off. JQ is now looking quite valuable as that would be a heap leach operation for the first 150k-200k ozs - too long ago, can't remember the figures precisely. JQ does not sound much but Kefi's share is worth not much less than the current market capitalisation for the company with the Ethiopian assets and Hawiah thrown in for nothing or very little.

Jackett- My thoughts as well. Potentially KEFI is huge but we need that funding in the bank to get things moving in Ethiopia. Still like many LTHs here another couple of months doesn't make much difference to me as long as we finally hear some positive news re finance.It would be nice to hear that a scheduled target date has actually been met for a change after so many false dawns.

We aren't moving significantly higher until they close the funding out. Yes, Saudi results may generate some speculative buying, but unless there's a sale of interest there (which I hope there isn't), that isn't a short-term catalyst for a big increase. We have waited so long and endured so much for TK, effectively betting the family silver on it, that all that really matters now is to prove it was worthwhile and that Ethiopia is serious about building a mine.

If they announce the financing; showing actual money delivered, not vague promises, then we will double in price. Without it, I think 2p in the short-term is about as far as we will go. Dilution is inevitable at some point, but if it comes post-Financing at 3 or 4p then it's nowhere near as painful as another punishing overhang around a penny. It seems unbelievable to me that they won't be able to close a deal in this gold environment, but we've been let down so many times that until we actually have someone else's cash in our hands, there will always be a nagging doubt.

czar,

Let the traders trade. Long term holders, are anticipating far more than doubling IMHO. Actually, according to Harry, Kefi has over 5000 shareholders, and I doubt that that many of them are Traders. The MMs have been playing with the Traders for ages, for, again IMHO, many a LTH is maxed out pretty much, and have been for some time.

From memory, I think Harry voiced the opinion that a 10 bagger would not be unreasonable when production kicks in (and that without SA).

Too many punters in here trading for a fraction of a penny, when this goes it can easily double imho.

Rio, you say 30p, 40p. I make no comparison of assets or valuations, but I’m sure that unhappy long termers at Solgold when the share price was sub a penny back in 2015, would have laughed at such a suggestion. They were probably even more unhappy when they cut their losses at 5p. Here’s hoping that everyone here, soon has reason to be cheerful, good day all.

Agreed goatie, I would also add to this that on the whole the Saudis have always deferred - and rightfully so - to experts as they have with oil. No reason why we can't do this on our own. With this exception in mind, we are fairly closely aligned - but I maintain my view of 40p within 18-24 months. Now would I take 30p.... so from here a 15 bagger..... go on then
