01/6/2020 14:45 | Scars "ANS will either come up with the goods or not!" Undeniably so. What is not so clear to me is whether the Ethiopian government will also step in and make the investment of c $13m in KME. If the government is only going to provide the c $26m for TKGM, Kefi's diluted interest in TK will increase. Originally, the whole $38m was to go into TKGM. Having faffed around for 8 months and having given assurances that the first instalment had been received by ANS from the investors, they then on 8 April 2019 announced the diversion of 1/3rd of the capital into KME. | estseon

29/5/2020 19:23 | Do not thank me yet 1deedee but hopefully having what looks like two viable projects will suck most of the risk out of this share. (shares prices may go down as well as up, and up and instead of down and up and down, up and down...) | robjm66

29/5/2020 08:58 | My guess is that it will be a wait and see day today, as the last tranche of the placing shares are available to RAB to dispose of , if they so wish. Personally, I reckon it is in their interest to hold onto them, so I do not anticipate much selling, other than a few traders covering their position, just in case. Probably be a relatively quiet day IMO. | scrappycat
29/5/2020 07:51 | Thanks, rob. It'll be interesting to see if Jeff Rayner makes any comment in the resource statement when released on the geological nature and source of the Hawiah deposit. I think that the deposit was laid down by "smokers" in then shallow seas. I doubt that it can be tracked down vertically for 'kilometres' (HAA aka Jules Verne) but there could be a substantial reserve going down to depth. I doubt that they would need to explore that for a DFS - that can come later. The takeover referred to might have been the 2012 Barrick Gold acquisition in Jabil Sayid. In their 2012 accounts they said that they expected 100-130 million pounds annual production during the first 5 years' production at a cash cost of $1.50 to $1.70 / pound. The mine is an underground one. Barrick was forced to sell down half to the Saudi state mining company. hxxps://www.barrick. | estseon
28/5/2020 18:08 | Estseon well said but I can understand the way Harry has dealt with this imagine I come into your back garden and found gold just trying to be political but yes looks like a waste | 1deedee
28/5/2020 17:53 | jaylett, we'll know within the next 4 weeks or so - that is what the Company has said. The people, it is said, are not happy and there will be elections early next year so the government has an incentive on that score. They also need the FX and there's no point in leaving the gold in the ground. If some or all of the members of the syndicate have lost their manhood as well as the integrity of their word, we are told that the government will step in and increase its stake in the project company. In that case, I hope that we can say goodbye to their involvement in KME as well because we really do not want or need parasitic passengers. If they want a share of the glory they must honour their commitments. This they have failed to do. They are people of little or no substance and they have cost us dear. | estseon

28/5/2020 10:30 | There is no guarantee that the money will show up but its priced like it won't anyway, there was a nice article in the ft today about how well Ethiopia has done in this covid crisis and what a good story it is in general so maybe something will happen, on the other hand much as I hate the Saudi regime the asset there looks great and will be a well over 100% irr project and if the Saudis can throw money at wework then a local project that should generate 1000 jobs and a huge return should be a no brainer .... | catsick |
