30/1/2020 07:32 | We have an expected date, not a firm date, which is also not within the previously advised window for transfer of funds. "The existing TKGM shareholders have been very supportive of the Project and now TKGM will be further empowered by the transfer of the first tranche of the ANS Mining funding of US$9.5 million (Ethiopian Birr equivalent) to TKGM during January 2020, following the completion of certain procedural matters." Spin it how you like, it's a delay. There is no way on Earth it is "terrific news" ffs. | jaylett
30/1/2020 07:29 | What on earth are you all talking about. We now have a firm date for the funds. It's feb 14th. That's not a delay. 2 weeks wait after all these years? And an actual date? This isn't bad news at all. It is terrific news. | andysand
30/1/2020 07:27 | The subsequent transfer of the first funds from ANS Mining to TKGM is expected to occur following the Meeting. Slightly vague, but could be a happy Valentine's Day! | scars
30/1/2020 07:26 | Wow indeed. If they wanted it developed it would be underway. ANS see more value in delay than progressing development of the mine. | sweetwaters
30/1/2020 07:24 | Looks like further delaysDrop today down big | iamgreat1

30/1/2020 07:21 | "The subsequent transfer of the first funds from ANS Mining to TKGM is expected to occur following the Meeting." Hmmm. Another delay isn't ideal to begin with, but this is worryingly vague. When exactly after the meeting? Expected to occur? Why do they need two weeks to convene this meeting? Surely that could have been lined up to take place now, at the conclusion of whatever these "procedural matters" were? Does no one actually want to get this mine built? | jaylett
30/1/2020 07:19 | You can red tick me guys but the fact is the money still hasn't arrived and now we have a meeting in a fortnight before the so called funds can arrive and then how long after that before the funds are released,as i said totally ridiculous. | scotty1
30/1/2020 07:18 | On the one hand we are no doubt lucky that the EG are onside and fully committed. The Gov also seem to have a broad understanding of the moving parts of this emerging opportunity and the consequent need to conduct themselves professionally for the wider benefit of all stakeholders. On the other hand we also have ANS who (as a collective) have the emotional intelligence of cement and seem to be utterly devoid of any lateral appreciation for co investors, contractors, their own government and the broader reputational damage they are injecting into this tired process via a seemingly unending ability to behave like grown professional investors. | bejubiant
30/1/2020 07:09 | Wow still excuses from ANS,totally ridiculous imo | scotty1
30/1/2020 06:46 | If it was I think it would have probably leaked yesterday? | shortarm

30/1/2020 06:16 | Ethiopia: Ministry Grants Five Mineral Exploration Licenses "The government is committed to develop the mining sector. Ethiopia is endowed with a vast mineral and hydro carbon resources. In the coming years we should be able to develop these potential and contribute to the fast economic development of the country," Samuel said. He assured the companies that the ministry would provide all the required assistance. "You are lucky that you are starting your work at a time when the government is committed to transform the mining sector," he said. | outlawinvestor
29/1/2020 18:45 | Chances of RNS are indeed increasing everyday as we get closer to end JAN. What most forget , its not just about ANS , the stakes are a lot higher and the Ethiopian government expects and fully behind the Mine being built. Lot of players are involved here, not just few but many. | oilisgold
29/1/2020 18:42 | Yourself worried about 2p and maybe 3p. Historically the companies that are solid normally get taken out by big players and when the market does rerate, it rerates these companies in many folds. Key is to stay focus and leave the shares running in your Sipp or ISA. 2p or 3p or even 4p is not a question for me, its not if but when. Hopefully this time its not another decade wait. | oilisgold
29/1/2020 18:39 | taxloss it's good to look on the bright side. Assuming that HAA did mean it when he said on the 6th that the money would be received this month, the probability of it coming "tomorrow" is indeed increasing. At the 2016 AGM, HAA said (see the RNS): "...during the coming quarter, the Government is scheduled to start implementing the community resettlement programme." It is surreal how Brexit and this project have run in parallel over the last 3 1/2 years. | estseon
29/1/2020 18:37 | Cvm9 Aka Gooner, i know my trading and investing strategy. Being an old man , i seen it all. Life , you got to enjoy and when your innings can end anyday, you have to enjoy each day as it comes. Some of us have and are heavily invested in kefi and been here many many years. Its no punt money and its only recently most of us have started to average down. I had written this investment off as i believed political problems in Ethiopia would get worse. But i was wrong and after 4 years of political turmoil , things are looking very positive. In kefi we will have a Gold mine in Ethiopia in 2 years and Saudi discovery will be one of the best. So, i am very confidence in the returns here. I am.not here for day trading this share as i make plenty if money trading other shares via CFD and spread bets. This is an investment and i will certainly be here in few years if my innings hasnt ended. | oilisgold
29/1/2020 17:24 | Thanks, that makes me feel a lot better!!!Now what can I sell to buy some more KEFI and lower that average to climb the social ladder? | neilng
29/1/2020 16:50 | Hope he's not using the Ethiopian calendar as it's 7 years behind ours. Hmmm come to think of it!!! | digger2779
29/1/2020 16:44 | Gooner how dare you question Oils&fraud's credibility. He knows what he is on about don't you know. ANS RNS tommorrow, or maybe Friday, or even next Monday.Be 2p next week, then 40p end of month. He certainly is taking a 'pantsdownpounding' as he likes to say. | cvm9
29/1/2020 16:33 | Ans next monday? Lol tbf you never said which which monday boooop | gooner1886
29/1/2020 15:57 | Well, I make no claims to be clever, but I do have the courage of my convictions. When the share price was wallowing in the 0.7-.075p range, I paid good attention to what the EG and the company were saying at the conferences in Africa. Also, the initiation of the relocation program persuaded me that this was not a measure that any government would undertake lightly. In combination, these convinced me that the mine would open. Consequently, as a LTH I decided on a major averaging down exercise which, as a result, means that I now hold a fairly significant number (for me) of shares with an overall average of 1.47p. Admittedly, I am in the fortunate position that failure would not affect my lifestyle, but I remain very optimistic that it will provide some very helpful funding for my grandchildren. Good luck, and congratulations, to all who averaged down to whatever level. | scrappycat |
