Yes interesting dynamics at the minute...Bitcoin hitting new records every day...treasury yields rising 1%, Tesla etc..etc...personally I think we are in the bubble everything atm..and when it bursts there will be hell to pay...so I'll stick with the shiny metal which has proved itself over millennia...does the economy look in great shape to anyone? Covid not a problem...TRILLIONS more defecits as far as the eye can see?

Belfast, what's happening to gold? Not in the script and why we are drifting down no doubt.

Goatie, I didn't think you'd pay attention to anything other than an RNS for your promises? The first point in that presentation in Q4 20 must have passed me by ;)

On the mine at TK, the last official word via regulatory news service (the one with the super-thorough NOMAD oversight) was:

"We are on track for the principal outstanding Ethiopian Project financing-related matters to be completed in the coming weeks, with financial closing and the start of development planned for Q1 2021, leading to the continuing goal for the start of gold production during Q4 2022."

Now to remind you of your own advice, we should not pay any heed to things that haven't been promised, and "continuing goal" is very far from that, is it not? VAR will see to it, lol.

As for Bo Jo, you must be just as selective in his doings as with our own Harry if you really believe he "does what he says he will". The trail of deceit and volte-faces are legion and can be ignored but not denied. Right from when he was a journalist getting sacked for fabricating stories...

Why doesn't Harry delegate, we might ask, if it is such a skill? Or, perhaps you think he has where it counts, and the presentation, diplomacy and communication sets he has in 'spades'?

The Kefi Presentation of 16 November 1920 showed:-

Construction Schedule:

Q4-20: Final contracts for plant and mine

Q1-21: Resettlement
_______Procurement
Q2-21: Earthworks
Q3-21: Process Plant
Q2:22: Mining
Q4:22: Commissioning

I do not disagree with you about Trump. I hope he gets impeached - but he does have nearly half the electorate on his side.

I totally disagree than Boris is a buffoon. He does what he says he will, and has that rare gift of delegating to competent people.

But that is (I hope!) my last word on politics.

Completely agree jaylett...the RNS is as clear as it is...financial closure and start of development is "planned for" in Q1....(not a guarantee) so in theory an announcement could come anytime between now and end of Q1...we all hope sooner than later but patience required I'm afraid...so we can all decide to either sell, hold or buy more...the choice is yours to make...personally I see PGMs going much higher in 2021/22 and Kefi finally getting funding sorted in Q1...but you pays your money and make your bet

It isn't political posturing. It is human watching.

The French have a sleezeball. The Brits have a buffoon who is in it more than most for his own advantage and to be loved - ex-number of children and lovers tells us that. And if you feel Trump can be defended on anything ...

That is not complicating anything. A "good man who does nothing", etc., applies.

As for 2022, that assumes we are building by June, does it not? So I would say it is at the very extent of his current comments and timelines. But maybe you still see it all with rose tints despite your own advice that we should not expect it as nothing has ever been 'promised'?!

Tops,

Sorry, I think I muddled that.

Yes, I agree, Kefi are expecting first pour in 2022.

I wish you would avoid complicating things with your constant political posturing - most of which I, incidentally, wholly disagree with. But then I do not live in France.

Tops,

"First pour can't be in 2021, is unlikely to even be in 2022 at this rate!" (8650)

So you know better than KEFI itself?

Personally, provided funding is fixed this quarter I can see no reason why first pour should not be in 2021.

Why are you so dogmatic that it cannot be?

Think we are not that far off news "week" or two otherwise why the accumulation by someone in the background.

Even ignoring TK news would hope for a decision this month or soon on licence applications in the KSA and/or more drilling assays results from Hawiah.

Plan?

As for Goatherd, Matthew, he did say all the above many, many, many (I could keep typing that for a while) times and has, as I've pointed out before, no investment case that is defensible or is a rotten apple.

The only other option is he forgets what is actually happening/happened and simply pipes up every now and then. Given his age - and that in itself is unusual to be so into messageboards - maybe you should give him some slack and assume the latter?

First pour can't be in 2021, is unlikely to even be in 2022 at this rate!

Katsy, "coming weeks" is indeterminate. It always is/was in Harry speak since before Goatherd first started reminding us (many, many etc. times) that no dates are ever promised so we are all fooling ourselves saying/believing so. Or making that a reason to invest. Heaven forbid we should ever listen to the guy in charge.

It's not his fault nobody wants to make millions - except us. Lol. Like Trump and Boris, Harry will sell us out in a second, change his mind, move the goalposts, and not blink an eye while doing it.

But if this is the latest, biggest snow job then at least me and Taxloss are booking the first flights to his Cyprus idyl once we get the jab and we'll at least see what our investment has built...$30k a month plus expenses and consultancy fees should have got quite a nice pad.

Like it or mot, The increased value of the assets offsets the dilution and the share price will reflect this when funding is finally sorted. It will surely be many multiples of the current price. That is my opinion.

The funding of TKGM, effectively, has been in the hands of the Ethiopian Government for years. Attempting to pressurise the EG would surely prove futile, and counter-productive.

Also, despite the many delays, the assets are still in the ground, and will ultimately yield much more in the way of income than they would if they had been depleted earlier

Trading volumes are poor so far today, it would be good to see them pick up in the next few hours as we head towards the weekend. With some strength to the sp, of course.

I'm also very much a long term investor here, and considerably younger than you, but I can't quite share your relaxed attitude to this..The simple fact is that the longer this funding takes, the less reward there will be for existing shareholders.

You could have (and probably did) say similar things three years ago - when shares in issue were a fraction of what they are now. That's why the delays matter, whether you are a trader or an investor.

Surely the funding date is completely out of Harry's control?

He has agreed terms with several companies. They have signed term sheets. They are doing due diligence. How long that takes is up to them, any attempt by Harry to push them could even be counter-productive. And the time required is that of the slowest.
No one will sign until all sign.

And does the odd week here or there, or even the odd month?

I would be very nice to have first pour in 2021, but is there really all that much problem if it is mid 2022. Well not to me, though at age 85 perhaps I am tempting fate.

Of course none of the above applies to traders - and I am talking investors.

If the funding RNS "actually" lands in Q1 I will be happy.... Either way anyone selling now would be silly unless they are betting it will not land in Q1.

"We are on track for the principal outstanding Ethiopian Project financing-related matters to be completed in the coming weeks, with financial closing and the start of development planned for Q1 2021, leading to the continuing goal for the start of gold production during Q4 2022."

All of the weeks in Q1 are the "coming weeks". I would honestly place zero value on that specific use of words, given who they came from. Sorry to disappoint you, but he didn't say "few".

"Planned for Q1" is the bit to focus on, meaning there is an expectation but no guarantee that funding is secured by the end of March. You have to really read what HAA says and sift out the pony. Well I say sift; it usually requires a shovel.

Thinking on the same lines Katsy, he surely cannot put out another delay RNS so should be doing anything and everything to get the financing over the line. There is a great deal of expectation here and anything but finalising will knock the share price back and probably lead to another fund raising.

So after Harry's few weeks announcements on the 11th Dec. I wasn't expecting any news between that date and the 11th Jan. So I would say if it's now not completed before week ending 22nd Jan I will start to be concerned. So for me it's make or break in the next 10 trading days.
