jaylett,

If we do not start drilling in Saudi Arabia we are likely to lose licenses - most licenses have annual expenditure rules. It is therefore essential we drill there, even at the cost of some dilution.

Each to their own, but assay results for a project that is at least 4-5 years from production don't especially interest me, however promising it is. I've been in KEFI nearly a decade in one form or another and through a lot of averaging down I'm now (only!) down by about 50% and I would like to see a paper profit as soon as possible.

What matters to me more than anything is the local cash hitting our bank account, giving a real green light to the start of development and removing the spectre of yet more punishing dilution. Get that out of the way, start actually constructing the mine at TK, and then I might have some enthusiasm for the start of a major project in another tricky, emerging jurisdiction. If we end up being diluted again at these levels to effectively pay for more drilling in Saudi, I do not view that as a good outcome for long suffering LTHs.

goatherd,

I agree re the Nobel Prize, very reassuring, but you never know in this part of the world. That is why I added the caveat. Political events can sometimes prove quite unpredictable - as the recent UK General Election proves.

digger,

At the moment, true, but the future is very promising, and I can wait as long as it takes - provided it is not too long, as I am nearly 78 after all!!!! If it gets much lower, I will be hunting around to find some spare cash to buy even more. I am convinced this will prove to be a very fortuitous investment for my children/grandchildren.

There used to be 2 things certain in life "death and taxes". Kefi has it's own variation with "delays and an ever decreasing SP".

Edgein,

I agree totally, and imagine my ISA investment in KEFI will be there for a long time to come. At least we know now where a fair amount of the money received from recent placings has, and will be, spent. With the indication of substantial reserves in Saudi, there seems little in the way of this company progressing to a mid cap in a very reasonable timescale imho (assuming no political problems in Ethiopia).

...''Saudi delegation is expected to meet Ethiopian business communities ...''

... hope for their sake the Saudis don't enter into any deals that requires those canny Ethiopians to put up any money upfront :-)

cjm,

I am, what is termed , a super stable introvert, and do not get 'wound up' as you put it, and my health is in no danger from you and your delusions. Try analysing the facts for a change. Obviously, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen, and filter me again.

For your information, I am not a Harry admirer. He had/has a job to do, and he has done it. The lights are still on, which, if your recommendations had been/were followed, would certainly be flickering.

I do not filter you, because I do not classify you as a deramper, but I do take issue with, what I consider to be, the more idiotic elements of your posts.

cjm,

'his reputation is already in tatters....another delay should finish him off.'

What a load of cobblers. Not with the EG and the bank(s) that have offered alternative financing it is not, at the very least. They are the ones that count, not you or other PIs, such as myself. Are you really as clueless, and incapable of lateral thinking as you seem?

I could provide reasoned arguments to explain this stance, but I can't be bothered since your posts appear to confirm that you would not understand them.

@goatherd - states of emergency - of course not. Armed robbery - no, but maybe a management team dealing with Africa should have considered the possibility and prepared for it - after all, Harry does earn nearly £400k, and that is what he is paid such a ridiculous sum to do. Let's hope that the ANS funds come soon without any more dilution - his reputation is already in tatters....another delay should finish him off.

I think, rather than "trust" it is far more productive to consider the facts!

Not only current, but what has gone before.

For example - do you blame Harry for two States of Emergency; or an armed robbery?
(when we lost peanuts in it)

@goatherd - it COULD be different this time. I hope it is! But my trust in the management of this company is so poor that I expect further delays and dilution. It is what we're used to.

Topical. I am travelling at the mo so could not cut & paste that post from adrian. Thanks for posting it. Hubris is a wonderful thing. I actually believe that Kefi will get there. That does not mean that I will continue to hang on every word Harry utters. I am worried though that we are so dependent on other parties & are not in a strong enough position to dictate terms. We seem to be constantly at the whim of others. :-(

But why can't it be different this time?

Personally I believe it will.

@adrian1001 - "The recent RNS clearly states the whole thing will start in January, agreed by the government etc".

You have obviously forgotten that, plenty of times recently, RNS's contain this kind of information, only to be superceded by other disappointing RNS's stating further delays etc.

There is absolutely NO guarantee that money will arrive and mine construction will start in Jan. Stop believing everything the management says, because every deadline to date has been missed.
