23/10/2019 14:55 | Harry had no choice but to issue an RNS following the promise of funding by the EG and the ANS, since it was certainly within the public knowledge in Ethiopia. As for being circumspect, that would hardly endear him to the EG, WHO ARE THE ONES RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ISSUE OF MINING PERMITS AND LICENCES. Not clever in my book. As for your comments, is it not a fact that moneys incoming from the proposed funding WOULD substantially improve the financial prospects of the company? Furthermore, your comment specifies what you would have him not do, but not you would have him do. My posts are not in support of Harry, neither are they against him. They are a recognition of the fact that circumstances sometimes drive events, and in KEFI's case, I consider that circumstances have certainly conspired to prevent a speedier, and more certain, outcome. | scrappycat
23/10/2019 14:46 | My point is that what you say is lies is not. If he says "I expect" that is very unlikely to be a lie - and you can never detect that! "I expect" can only be a lie if he does not really expect it. But always, or perhaps nearly always, that is not the case. If he truly expects something and it does not happen then that is NOT a lie - it is merely a false expectation. People, like you, get angry because they think he tells lies. People like me, who analyse what he says, think differently. I do not get angry because he lies (because he doesn't, IMHO) - if I were to get angry it would be because of his false expectations - or gullibility! I am certainly not pleased with his use of "death spiral" financing. But there may have been no alternative. If so then I would rather have bad financing than none. | goatherd
23/10/2019 14:03 | I asked what others would have had him do differently. That is not defending him in my book, but I have seen no serious suggestions as to how you would like him to present information passed to him by the EG and ANS. What would you have him do?????? | scrappycat
23/10/2019 13:56 | @andysand - "Announcing good news to make a market for sells is dishonest because it means you have inside info about forthcoming dilution that poor PI’s are unaware of. Hence they are shafted" - I simply could not agree more. I just hope that this money arrives on or before 31st October, I really do, else I am sure I will not be the only one on the war path. He has stitched PI's up something rotten | cjm681
23/10/2019 13:36 | It is not unreasonable surely, for Harry assume that he was given information by the EG and the ANS in good faith. He is not, by law, allowed to conceal information that will affect the share price. What is he to do, but pass on that information to shareholders? How was he to know that a change of government and an attempted coup was in the offing? It would seem that some here would like him to issue a government health warning with each RNS, or utterance he makes. It is so easy to be wise after the event. Those who criticise are obviously not clairvoyant, otherwise they would not have made the choices they patently have. Neither, I venture to suggest, is Harry. | scrappycat
23/10/2019 13:35 | A typical day in Kefi Land - looks like another 40m forward sold by the WC provider (loan shark) another kerching of a payday for them... local investors maintain their free option on the gold price whilst never parting with a cent.. And Harry rakes in another day of pay!!!! Everyones a winner, except for the bag-carrying shareholders... always make sure you sit on the right side of the fence@!!!!! | pjj71
23/10/2019 13:08 | I reiterate:IF he did NOT know of the hoops he had to jump through to arrive at this point in time.. WTAF was he doing in charge.IF he DID know, WTAF was he doing, telling the audience of potential investors, money was due in "the next few days".Tie it up with ribbons and vanilla flavour to sweeten it, but the lieing deceiving spokesperson YOU invested in, can't be trusted to sit the right way on a toilet seat. | cybaajak
23/10/2019 13:04 | cbaajak, No - that is NOT a valid reply. I need details of what he said that you think is a lie. The challenge still stands. | goatherd
23/10/2019 13:01 | You asked. I supplied.https://www | cybaajak
23/10/2019 13:01 | If the money has not arrived by Nov 1st, many people might consider that a lie. But if it's not a lie, then this is certainly misleading. What he does is make claims and promises that he can't keep. You will only have to wait till Oct 31st for this particular example to (possibly) prove itself. But it is also very, very common to release good news RNS's that are soon followed by placings or other forms of dilution. This is then a very blatant attempt to invite buys in order to provide a market for others to forward sell into. Surely dishonest and disreputable behaviour. So I suppose it depends on what you define as a lie. Is a broken promise a lie? Debatable. But there is plenty of dishonesty. Announcing good news to make a market for sells is dishonest because it means you have inside info about forthcoming dilution that poor PI's are unaware of. Hence they are shafted; quite deliberately. The kindest thing he could be accused of is extreme naivety (which he should be fired for as business requires realism). But I think that would be too kind. | andysand
23/10/2019 12:44 | cbaajak, A challenger for you. Show me ONE case (or more) where you think Harry has lied. | goatherd
23/10/2019 12:25 | Almost no battery left on my phone..@ pediment. If this was Reddit I would mortgage the soul of my third born, for funds, to award you gold.So so apt words fail me and full kudos to you for reciprocating the very feelings i have..."Why, why, why, won't you have a little faith".Go and listen to the CEO of your focus, the man in charge of your golden child, lie, through his teeth, blatantly and unequivacopably, to the audience at the UK Investor Show 2019. IF, he was unaware of the regulations he HAD to fulfill BEFORE finance happened.. he shouldn't have been in charge.IF he WAS aware of the required regulations being fulfilled BEFORE finance occurred, WHY tell the audience money was expected in the next "few days"..No excuses for spelling.. mobile hates me. As does Kefi.. | cybaajak
23/10/2019 12:17 | Kefi only needs Man from Del monte to say yes. With Brexit bill needs no long extension to consider the bill and no attachments to it to make it worse than it already is no second referendum and probably a election and a conservative government... apart from that it is plain sailing. | robjm66
23/10/2019 12:01 | There is quite an amazing synergy between the predicaments of Boris and Harry. Both are hoping the date of the 31 October will be achievable, and both are totally reliant on others to enable that outcome. Will either, or both, achieve that objective, or will both fail? The clock ticks inexorably towards the critical date. IMO, both will obtain a successful reward for their endeavours, but whether it will be in the hoped for time scale is anybody's guess. | scrappycat
23/10/2019 11:57 | @ pediment... you may have done all that but you do not have the skills to solve the funding here. If I had £7.39 plus vat to become a blue moniker you would've got an extra red for just breathing. Not long to go before one of the snowflakes creates their own moderated thread and then the likes of us will be left to wander in the wilderness searching for the mythical Arabian rubber stamp and the lost Ark of the ANS covenant. | digger2779

23/10/2019 11:44 | S'alright digger I cured cancer, brokered world peace and solved Brexit and I still got 3 reds for that particular post. Some peeps on here just not feeling the love. | pediment
23/10/2019 11:36 | My post 61859 ...It comes to something when you get a red ticker for a smiley face. Snowflakes snowflakes everywhere...or in our case confetti confetti :) No matter what news comes out of Saudi we still need to finance it but no worries as it will all become as clear as a bell come Halloween. | digger2779 |
