If it was a member of the board buying shares in the company the rns would be a Directors shareholding one not a holding in company .Directors have to inform the market with regards to every share purchase and sale where as a pi only has to notify the company when reaching 3% and then every full 1 percent after this hence the notification after crossing 4%.Same applies when selling if a pi for example went from 4 to 3% an rns holding in company would be required it is the responsibility of the shareholders to inform the company who then inform the market.

If you read stevehoop's post of 17th March (7313), he appears to refer to a member of the BOD issuing a TRI 3% holding RNS - I took this to be a reference to the Feb holding RNS regarding the 3% holding threshold being breached. I may be wrong (apologies if so) but that's what I concluded, and that's why I checked the names of the senior managers & directors - and was unable to find anyone called Alan Os.

If AO was a member of the BOD, it might suggest ultra confidence - or it might suggest soaking up free-float to raise the share price above the nominal value - leading to scope for further funding.

But if he's just a wealthy private investor, perhaps that would only suggest ultra confidence?

How is it a straightforward question to identify someone that no-one has heard of. You at least have a name to go on rather than a string of numbers

Curious that more than 24 hours after I posed a couple of straight forward questions (straight forward if you happen to be a 'clued-up' as so many here profess to be) on what is usually quite a busy board of opposing views, no one has offered any answers...

Indeed, no one has posted a jot.
Perhaps to be taken as a signal to steer clear?

I've just read through the last 2 or 300 odd posts since the Feb holding announcement, trying to find out who Alan Osborne is.
I think I read somewhere along the way, that stevehoops said he was a member of the b.o.d. But looking through the company's list of senior managersrs, no Mr. Osborne is listed.
So who is he?

Who is Mr. Alan Osborne?


In Feb, the company released an RNS to say that he'd passed the 3% holding threshold, with just shy of 9 million shares. Today we learn he has passed 4%.

Whoever he is, he's either a fool with his money -
or he knows something the market doesn't (or doubts).

I doubt he's a fool.
