All that CGNR tweet about now is the price of gold and how it's going to rise in future. Very minimal results being published when there are supposedly 3 drill bits turning in various locations. All a bit odd compare that with KDR who just tweet about Copper and Nickel now with very little information from Finland while there's a massive exploration program ongoing in Kuhmo

In an ever shifting diamond landscape there’s one thing we can count on---things will always change. Take the global luxury sector for instance. With all the hubbub swirling about over earth mined -v- synthetic diamonds, the world’s luxury market wisely took its own path and separated itself from the regular guys who sell fake and real diamonds --- whichever they can make money on.

Forecasts & Observations

So what can we expect to see on the immediate horizon? I predict 2023 will be dominated by a great shortage of fine gemstones and true collectible color diamonds.

This in turn, will whet the appetite for top goods amongst Chinese customers who were just recently freed from a two-year forced Covid-isolation. And most importantly, they are now armed with $2.6T – which they stashed away during the pandemic, according to a CNN report. The great roadblock to this flood of spending is the dramatic shortage of fine goods available in the marketplace.

A copper deficit is set to inundate global markets throughout 2023, fueled by increasingly challenged South American supply streams and higher demand pressures.
Copper is a leading pulse check for economic health, and the red metal's squeeze could be an indicator that global inflationary pressures could worsen, and subsequently compel central banks to maintain their hawkish stances for longer.

A global deficit of platinum in 2023 will be deeper than previously expected due to strong industrial demand, the World Platinum Investment Council (WPIC) said in a quarterly report on Wednesday, adding that the shortage could persist for years.


Demand for platinum, also used in vehicle exhausts and jewellery, is forecast to grow by 24% this year as some of the auto sector is replacing palladium with cheaper platinum and demand for bars and coins is improving, the WPIC said.

The expired agreement with Rio specified diamonds but also (and/or) a few million oz of gold for the Jv to be triggered. We don't hear many specifics about the gold or diamonds in Finland because it may harm any potential future agreement. Lahtojoki still not quite finalised and I don't think we'll hear anything more on that until it's resolved and the paperwork issued.However, Northern Irish Copper/Nickel/Platinum is probably the only thing they can bang on about with any freedom. The recent interview and repeated tweets confirm this IMO. I'm not sure whether it's an elaborate distraction or if they really have found a world class deposit. I wouldn't discount the possibility of diamond(s) being found in Fermanagh, they're still looking for them under the umbrella of Nickel & Copper sediment sampling. Even if they have found evidence of diamonds I doubt they'd want to shout about it yet because every man and his shovel will be driving down from Belfast for a look.

July 18th and Now August 18th one month on !!
An initial site investigation programme has commenced to ascertain the accessibility, detailed topography and geological exposures of the targets. This will be followed by evaluation of the targets through a pit excavation programme designed to identify bedrock kimberlite. Where bedrock cannot be reached by excavator the targets will be tested by drilling for the presence of kimberlite. Till samples will also be collected for further kimberlite indicator mineral studies.
