12/10/2021 11:16 | 20pc down from recent high and over 10pc discount seems this is over sold. I have added and still confident in long prospects as I like the manager and main holdings. | lozzer69
08/10/2021 11:10 | Good luck , this feels massively oversold. Let's hope we are right. | its the oxman
08/10/2021 08:55 | Yes I did too Oxman. Good luck. | scottishfield
08/10/2021 08:52 | Added a few more, c.380p gone to c.12% discount. Suspect it will move rapidly when sentiment improves at some point. Holdings are quality and safer than buying individual stocks. | its the oxman
04/10/2021 11:15 | Happy to follow your example. Hope to see them back to nav one day soon. | its the oxman
01/10/2021 08:25 | Going back into these today having sold out last month at 472p, see my post no. 37 below. Picked up just above the bid at 390.3p. May buy more if they fall further as this really is the top uk smaller companies trust in my eyes. | ec2
03/9/2021 14:38 | HSL would be an excellent choice if I didn't already hold a massive chunk of these. Have a couple of ideas but sitting on my hands at present whilst there is no obvious short term direction in the market. | ec2
02/9/2021 15:46 | Yes , perhaps switch to hsl or similar. | its the oxman
01/9/2021 22:59 | Top performing uk trust but rarely has the discount gone to zero as it did today so I decided to reduce my holding at 472.33p. Still like uk smaller companies but will take a lower risk option in case of a market pullback. | ec2
01/9/2021 09:12 | Discount now less than 1pc after great move up | lozzer69
12/8/2021 10:17 | Having a good run for a couple of weeks now so hopefully reducing the discount. | lozzer69
21/6/2021 16:41 | Rather large discount on these today considering this is a top performing small co's trust. Added to my holding. | ec2
24/5/2021 22:51 | Good interview last fri with the manager: | rambutan2
20/4/2021 08:15 | Yes going well. Buying jmi last year was my best idea for UK exposure. | lozzer69
19/4/2021 22:12 | Always making new all-time highs. | deadly
23/12/2020 11:03 | I confess that I reduced my holding the other day. Growth could be a struggle for a while, which is usually a good sign for investors to pile in, lol. | poikka
08/10/2020 16:49 | Continuing excellent performance. | deadly
11/9/2020 08:25 | I like the underlying holdings here. | noiseboy
02/9/2020 22:07 | Has done very well recently and well up over a year | deadly
19/3/2020 09:43 | a terrible day for some of constituent holdings | lopsidedgit1
30/12/2019 10:24 | Oh I'm definitely not out of this, just took a bit of profits to stick into a higher yielder. | poikka
26/12/2019 10:57 | Hanging in for a bit more, global investors seem to like the new certainty of Brexit. Run your winners, cut your losers. A dictum which has served me well in the past. I'll re-assess this in mid-jan, and we'll see who is right then. | shavian
20/12/2019 14:14 | Much the same, 220p in May, so dead lucky. Not so much cash, but a nice amount ready for something tasty. | poikka
19/12/2019 07:57 | I did the same. I don’t usually try to time the market, but this time I managed to buy in at 240 and sell at 308 in a matter of a few weeks, as the discount disappeared. The market overreacted to the Tory win, as it usually does, as the initial relief at “Brexit clarity” gave way to the realisation that the threat of no-deal is waiting down the road in a year’s time. That uncertainty isn’t good for investment or confidence, and I expect the discount to grow again. For the moment I’m happier in higher-yielding, mainly foreign trusts, and about 20% cash. | caradog |
