I tried to buy a few but Numis didn't want to play, so I put them on the board at 66.5. I suspect it's his retaliatory action in bidding 66.75, even though he was supposedly offering at 66.5!

Incidentally, I also enquired why we haven't seen the usual monthly report yet!!

As we all know, late news is usually bad news, but I can't imagine that to be the cause...

Did they perhaps say somewhere that they were going to discontinue monthly reporting?

I have today sent an email to our chairman - Trevor Ash - pointing out that NBPE have just announced a strategy change with the implementation of a dividend. not surprisingly this has been well received by the market.

An extract as follows:

"Further to my original email, you may be interested to hear that NB Private Equity has indeed decided to implement a regular dividend based upon 3.5% of NAV - see today's RNS - link below..

This is the same policy as Fidelity Private Equity (FPEO); and the same policy I believe JPEL should be adopting - see my original email.

At a time when every fund & private investor is on the quest for YIELD, then providing shareholder value in this way will help restore a measure of confidence in JPEL - something woefully lacking currently as the shares are languishing at a c43% NAV discount - the highest in the PE sector by quite a margin!

Sold few GPE to buy another PE trust.

Assume where you have written pence you actually mean UScents. Will be happy with 91c though. Tradesmarter did a chart yesterday and he suggested 70-72c would need to be taken out to then move higher and so your chart is not so different.

DVI/Jaws - I've got the Numis report from November which basically reported on the Strategic Initiatives announced on 7th November. Did they say much more on 19th December; as, if so, then I will try & get a copy of that one too. If it were really just en passant, then not worth bothering perhaps...

Certainly the highlight today in markets. When trading at such a large discount it is hard to see them not running towards $0.80 with investor confidence improving. Still looks risky but well done to those who have nibbled in recent months.

Joined you today with 12604 @ $0.63, using some funds from HPEQ. Hoping for good performance in 2013. Thanks again to Sky for the research and heads-up.
