23/2/2006 17:28 | I see a healthy correction to the 240/250 area and then onwards and upwards again. Long term there can be very few better rewards than JII. | flashheart
23/2/2006 15:58 | Am I the only one thinking these daily rises are taking the indian market into bubble territory? I havent done research into indivual stocks but can anyone tell me what the avergae PE is of an indian company? I just feel this market it being taken up on hot money way too quickly. Any selling by a big fund manager/institution and it could crash. Well not proper crash but could see a good 10%+ correction as every man and his dog runs for the exist. | royalt
22/2/2006 23:29 | My guess is "JPMF Indian Trust (36136) Fund" is a unit trust managed by the same team that manages the JII investment trust. So I suppose there is not much difference between the two. However if JII trades at a premium to its NAV it would make sense to buy the UTs rather than ITs & ,of course, vice versa. | mangal
22/2/2006 16:54 | Thanks mangal :-) I heard about this at launch and even started the thread India Capital Growth Fund (IND) way back in October. But no one replied; so gave up the idea. May be cos I did not use the correct EPIC ! I usually trade in shares and am new to investment trusts. Could someone tell me the difference and pros/cons between these two? JPMF Indian Trust (36136) Fund £1.1625 JPMOR INDIAN ORD 25P (JII) Stock 278.38p Price change over 1 year, 3 months and 1 month is roughly the same with both according to Squaregain. 09/2/2006 12:24 | BOMBAY (AFX) - Indian software and service export revenues are seen surging by 32 pct in the year to March 2006 as global companies increase outsourcing, the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) said in a report. Software and service export revenues are forecast to climb to 23.4 bln usd in the current fiscal year from 17.7 bln a year earlier. Kiran Karnik, president of the 900-member association, said India's software industry is on course to reach a target of 60 bln usd in sales by 2010. "There is enough headroom for future growth and only 9.0 pct of the export market has been tapped to date," Karnik said in the report. The total software sector is expected to account for 4.8 pct of gross domestic product during this financial year. "The Indian IT sector continues to chart double-digit growth" thanks to increased outsourcing, NASSCOM chairman S. Ramadorai said. Engineering services and research and software products will remain the key drivers of sales growth, the association said. The report forecasts India's software exports will grow an average 26-27 pct annually to the year 2010 while the domestic software market is seen expanding 24 pct annually during the same period. sal/pmc/lh/net | knowing

07/2/2006 13:59 | I think India and eastern europe (Russia) are the markets of the momment - They are confidently continuing their bull run. I would not be surprised if the premium on JII continues for a while - most days the buys seem to surpass the sells - right now there is a lot of demand in the west for a bit of India! Does anyone have any views towards Aberdeens New India (NII)? | slips
07/2/2006 08:44 | Hopefully now 10K has been tested we will see a continuation of the bull run. | knowing
