19/9/2012 18:42 | Must of missed the Notice to appoint- when did that come out? SPD no longer the frontrunner-funny that. Don't be fooled about the noise surrounding the Stafford Group as DSG will soon be joining the party. GLA | theshadow2
19/9/2012 18:08 | Of course JJB's bust, that's why it's going into administration | sir rational
19/9/2012 17:09 | 'JJB is well & truly bust.' um, no its not. Manchester united figures are pretty eye watering. A lot of debt for 20mill profit. | bingowing

19/9/2012 15:28 | Was it the finance director that said the end of the quarter was not an issue for jjb in terms of rents? There is more to this than meets the eye, SR (as there always is). You might have to wait a few weeks for those cheap trainers! | jimrclark
19/9/2012 15:23 | No way, Jim IMHO. This is just a bidding process to sell off any assets JJB might have then use the monies raised to pay off creditors. Who won't get paid in full. Nowt left for shareholders, JJB is well & truly bust. | sir rational
19/9/2012 15:23 | With that level of interest MA or other would be suitor may be forced to placate shareholders with an offer of 1-5p | zeuseq
19/9/2012 15:17 | Looks like it's just you and me this afternoon, pembury. What are you thinking? My own thinking is that the number of bidders will mean that there'll be at least a couple of rounds of bids. I don't think that jjb are desperate to get some help in the next few days (perhaps, in the next month or two) so we are in for a few more ups and downs, and twists and turns. It wouldn't surprise me if the competition got so fierce that there was some value for shareholders. Everyone should remember that jjb are obliged to highlight the risk to holders. | jimrclark
19/9/2012 15:05 | D Telegraph says 8 would be buyers have tabled bids | pembury
19/9/2012 14:56 | Looks like a good operation. Ireland has been doing even worse than the UK over the last few years so they must be good if they are not only surviving but thriving. We've got an interesting few weeks ahead. | jimrclark
19/9/2012 14:40 | private swizz Hold about 70 sports stores in Ireland. Turnover about 500m (euro) | pembury

19/9/2012 10:22 | Still very risky but if a bidding war ensues with fatty et al this will multibag instantly. not for window cleaners and orphanages. | tez123
