16/9/2011 07:44 | TOPINFO >> Have accepted the company's shortcomings, retrieved me dummy, and climbed back into me pram for a nap. Rant over and moving on - Good luck! | topnotch
16/9/2011 07:43 | topnotch - i do not know why they did not release an rns on the 7th. However if any employee bought on the 7th or after before an rns was released of course it would be insider trading - however i can see no rns re employee purchases on the 7th or after. | moreforus
16/9/2011 07:42 | topnotch you have to remember this isnt IPSOs product, they have a stake in Therakind as they have stakes in other companies. I dont suppose the CEO is sat looking at the net all day trying to find out what is going on in each company, it would be upto Therakind to tell them, so maybe its their fault? Dunno. | topinfo
16/9/2011 07:37 | moreforus >> I spend a considerable time looking for info on the tinternet - but news such as this has to be released officially otherwise the company will be seriously in breach of regulation if it knew about it but failed to do anything about it. Would be worse if the employees were buying because they knew Also, in these times of austerity you could buy almost anything on AIM as it will probably be trading on a discount to its peers - the question is how long most peeps are prepared to wait | topnotch
16/9/2011 07:35 | TOPINFO >> So the company doesn't even know whats going on with its own products - not exactly a great recommendation IMHO All things considered - well done to those that bought early yesterday, however, the liquidity of this stock may cause extreme highs and lows in the share price and may cause a few long term holders, who have their own hair and/or teeth, to suffer palpitations. | topnotch
16/9/2011 07:34 | or you can simply buy companies that are trading at 40% discounts to cash or p/e's of 2 and wait for sanity to return..that;s called research too but no one wants to push those stocks up the 100-500% some of them deserve. | moreforus
16/9/2011 07:32 | Anyway its not insider trading, its just called research. If you look hard enough you can quite often find good info on companies even before an RNS. It has been out in the public domain since last week its just it hadnt been RNSed by any UK company. | topinfo
16/9/2011 07:30 | Seriously, they may have not even known is had been approved as the CEO had been away and if no-one from Therakind actually informed them then ist quite possible that they werent aware of it. Its not like any UK listed company RNsd it on the 7th/8th of Sept. | topinfo
16/9/2011 07:26 | Yes agree re materila - there was no news on the 25th of August. There was news on the 7th of September. I don't know why there was delay in releasing. So insider trading would be a valid accusation if they bought after the 7th and before yesterday. I can't imagine the EU approval process is predictable in terms of time taken to offer an outcome even if the the BoD believed it would ultimately be positive. | moreforus
16/9/2011 07:20 | moreforus >> So they were forced to issue a statement because the news was leaked immediately (less than 30 days) after the directors had bought - what else do you call it? News has to be OFFICIALLY released by the company as and when it may have a material impact on the share price - this obvious did as the price rose 100%. I rarely buy on director purchases as the markets often don't have same rosy outlook as the Bod may have. Also, the markets are not as patient so the share price often slides for weeks after the BoD purchase In my experience most BoD could have bought a lot cheaper than they actually do as the share price continues its slide until an RNS is released | topnotch
16/9/2011 07:20 | topnotch M4 is correct mate, I found it on the internet. Great tool the old web isnt it. | topinfo
16/9/2011 07:18 | there was no insider trading - the news was reported in the media before the company was forced to issue an rns... there were director buys on the 25th of August and i imagine they were barred from reporting anything material for 30 days - however the news came out within those 30 days and they were forced by events to issue an rns. | moreforus
16/9/2011 06:51 | Read what comedy has posted.. He's a real world Glasgow drug dealer and knows more about the commercials of new pharma products than most... (-; | moreforus
15/9/2011 19:30 | This is the 2nd drug for Therakind --- A contract was also signed with a pharmaceutical manufacturer during the year to develop a second drug for the treatment of pain." Very vague -- but this was 2009 so there could be some news soon wrt this -- | tomboyb |
