28/5/2013 12:52 | interesting | solarno lopez
28/5/2013 11:18 | Another positive rise | solarno lopez
24/5/2013 13:00 | Nice buy by someone | solarno lopez
17/5/2013 19:56 | I'm happy to hold here for the longer term. It's definitely getting difficult to find real value in this market though! | topvest
14/5/2013 21:39 | Well Topvest...further to my comments and you reading them back in November and you buying then I sold out all my holding this Monday. Cash of my portfolio risen to 34% including these proceeds.Three stocks now on horizon for a bad market day. | vizcaya2
14/5/2013 07:53 | Edging closer to your prediction TOPVEST | solarno lopez
10/5/2013 18:57 | They will - there is only a couple of major holders. They will have been brought on-side already. Still think this is a good opportunity. Should trade closer to net asset value as a bigger investment trust with a strong yield. It won't go higher than proforma NAV - 5% though in my opinion, until the placing is done. | topvest
09/5/2013 12:13 | I cannot disagree but their is bags of scope and what happens if the Prefs do not convert !! | solarno lopez
09/5/2013 12:08 | solarno - the diluted NAV is not £4 post transaction, so I think it's a bit misleading quoting the current £4 net asset value. It's about 50p less after conversion of the preference shares and costs of the transaction. | topvest
09/5/2013 07:06 | And the price ticks up | solarno lopez
09/5/2013 06:44 | With underlying investemnts topping £4 the new managers have lots of scope to turn the portfolio and make some handsome gains .....all for our benefit | solarno lopez
08/5/2013 17:53 | I added a few more at 310p - price should move up to the placing price once the deal is more commonly known. | topvest
08/5/2013 14:17 | Investors are begining to appreciate the deal and the discrepancy that exists with the pricing and asset value | solarno lopez
08/5/2013 13:03 | Fully agree but its still a very tasty investment especially as they are aiming for a yield of 6%. Current asset value is £4 | solarno lopez
08/5/2013 12:59 | The placing is at £3.29 and the proforma net asset value about £3.50 by my calculation. Great news today as Miton are a quality manager and this should be quite a unique vehicle. Probably worth adding if you can get in below the placing price. Gervais should do a pretty good job and it looks like ongoing charges will be cut from 4% to 2.5%. High costs was probably the biggest problem for this company. I think it's a bit unfair that they are doing a placing without an open offer to existing shareholders. Looks like the CEO is on a decent consultancy arrangement and will be at the table for the placing no doubt. Why couldn't existing holders (without having preference shares) have an opportunity to buy some shares at the placing price? | topvest
08/5/2013 09:12 | This is not on anybodys radar apart from the three of us hence no serious buying of £4 of assets for £3 | solarno lopez
08/5/2013 07:49 | The price should be higher to reflect the net asset value of £4 when the market price is only £3 | solarno lopez
08/5/2013 07:44 | And me this is great news with such an asset backing of near £4 something had to happen | solarno lopez
14/11/2012 17:20 | Having look at the latest accounts, looks like they may have sold in 2012. Bought a few of these. | topvest
11/11/2012 21:02 | It's not material - £200k. | topvest
11/11/2012 13:05 | As the Administration of Manganese Bronze was confirmed on 30th October (after MNGS announcement of intention on 22nd) the INV Chairman's statement was dated the 9th November I am not concerned. INV is pretty transparent and if material they would have said so I believe. | vizcaya2
10/11/2012 16:51 | See they hold £200k or so in Manganese Bronze prefs - that's not looking good, following the administration. | topvest
09/11/2012 21:50 | Thanks - anyone hold in a crest personal member account, rather than nominee? I understand that this might not be possible as it's a residual stock. Like Casdon. | topvest |
