04/7/2007 00:24 | Yes they do have some rubbish (or garbage), like all networks, but the general quality of the merchants are much much better then when the uk started | hirschnathan
04/7/2007 00:03 | Hope so Aleman. From past discussion on this board, it does appear it's the quality that matters more than quantity. Anyone been following the US affiliate boards of late? | the analyst
03/7/2007 23:58 | They signed up anything and everthing in the UK to start with. I suspect the quality of US merchants is much better than the UK at the equivalent stage based on experience. | aleman
03/7/2007 22:44 | you french gucc? | tsigoloroh
03/7/2007 22:38 | cheers guys anyone know if maz is independently wealthy or is he just some university grad with no beans to rub together my take is that maz tried to sell out before it went pear shaped (he knew it was going that way but so did every possible buyer). Now it has gone pear shaped. Destined for proverbial toilette (pardon my francais mon ami) | tsigoloroh
03/7/2007 21:52 | Christ guys - its 30 new clients in a month over May - that's not bad going in anybody's books | the blackster
03/7/2007 20:43 | Total since november only up 112,far too much churn and the quality of merchants being added does`nt look much better than what is already on AF.Could do with some big names coming on board over the next 3 months if a pick up of revenue is going to take place.Niche is OK but surely it has it`s limitations... | 68steve
03/7/2007 20:12 | Cheers andnmand Looks like quite a few UK merchants added this month. Not too impressed by only 24 US merchants added in the last seven months though... | the analyst
03/7/2007 20:06 | Oh well, was hoping not to have to produce many more of these if the outcome of the strategic review had been better but as I missed the RNS (and hence the chance to sell at anything like a reasonable price) by a few hours looks like I will be holding the rest of my shares for a while. At least I managed to sell some at 30p a short while ago. 03/7/2007 18:53 | Because they're not permitted to at the moment under Stock Exchange rules, due to the company being in a closed period. (Snap!) | lord buffett
03/7/2007 18:52 | Tsigoloroh - ever heard of a closed period for Directors dealings in their own shares?? The interims are due...... | thehardestbutton
03/7/2007 18:44 | why is there no directors buying? dont they believe??? if they dont why should we??? | tsigoloroh
03/7/2007 15:18 | First day without a drop | hirschnathan
03/7/2007 15:13 | Go on my beauty, I never lost faith in you!!! 30p here we come!!! | 12345th
03/7/2007 14:12 | With hindsight, the worse than expected weakness at the end of the tax year, and failure to recover after, was probably telling us something when you consider news elsewhere. Is a consumer downturn common to these? Should our mark down be bigger than others? Perhaps our growth is just falling into line with VCLK and TRAD. (Are they good shorts with Q2 results due soon?) IPH travelzoo | aleman
03/7/2007 14:05 | "Unbelievable. How is it that general consensus for this share by the resident experts can have shifted so massively in such a short time????" The recent profit warning perhaps? They do have a tendancy to lower peoples expectations... | the analyst
03/7/2007 13:55 | 12345th You've clearly got a very different view to me with "now it seems to be one big question mark over everything". IBG is still profitable, still growing revenue and profits, just that they'll be about 10-15% less that previously forecast. I hate to imagine what you'd be like if the company was actually in some sort of trouble! | lord buffett
03/7/2007 13:16 | Unbelievable. How is it that general consensus for this share by the resident experts can have shifted so massively in such a short time???? Only a few weeks ago the general tone was exasperation with 28p and now it seems to be one big question mark over everything and ZERO expectations re. share price This is why I will no longer be investing in shares, a total waste of time. | 12345th
03/7/2007 13:11 | Hirsch - accepted. I meant more in the sense that last year the US would have been loss making whereas now it is neutral - so even if it is not profitable in itself, the results will improve as it is not loss making. | bonio10000
03/7/2007 13:07 | bonio Af.us have expanded staff and are recruiting once again, I cant imagine there is much seeping back to ibg (yet), if it is with the pound being so strong it would be nominal. | hirschnathan
03/7/2007 12:00 | Earnings should be better - if only because US is now break even so less of a drag on UK profitability. | bonio10000 |
