08/3/2016 19:30 | Back to the days of 15% discount to NAV. | philo124
13/2/2016 00:32 | I would wait for the obvious support level at around £3.20 and then re-evaluate. Looks like a complex head and shoulders top to me, so the decline has further to run if I'm right about this. | jimbo55
12/2/2016 08:31 | Yes, anytime if your investment view is longer than 6 momths. | philo124
11/2/2016 15:58 | Does anyone have any views on where they might look to buy this? | ih_552354
20/1/2016 16:07 | Grim but will be fine over the longer term. | philo124
20/1/2016 13:22 | Due a bounce from what I can see of the RSI and stochastic in the following chart, but moving averages (EMAs) are looking ugly: hxxp://www.stockoped There is a death cross at the 50 day and 100 day EMAs and it looks like the 200 day is about to be breached by both. Once that happens, this is in a downtrend and bear market territory. On that note, see: hxxp://www.shareprop For what it's worth, that chart is ugly and my money (if I was in a locale from which I could short sell) would be on this falling far further. The Biotech sector has benefited greatly from QE-induced inflows since 2009, and now looks like a bubble in the earlier stages of deflating. In the long run we are all dead (as John Maynard Keynes once said). However, I will be a buyer of this trust at some point, but not until I've seen far more pain in equities this year (and I'm positioned for a real humdinger on that score). Looking at that chart, I'd also expect to see this trust trading far lower in 6 months time. | jimbo55
15/1/2016 07:33 | BIOG too but long term will be fine. Best held in SIPP and forget. | philo124
14/1/2016 21:36 | BLOODY HELL!!! | rathlindri
16/12/2015 21:06 | Good move today and with IBB up a further 2.25% today, hopefully more to come tomorrow. | gargleblaster
19/11/2015 13:21 | Nice recovery since recent lows in late September, the sector seems quite resilient | rathlindri
05/11/2015 07:43 | What a great annual financial report. Should have been headed "Investment made Easy" | philo124
24/10/2015 06:53 | In sipp. Day follows night. | philo124
23/10/2015 20:59 | Should kick up on Monday given that the IBB was up 3.3% at the close - and IBT is now on a 10% discount! | gargleblaster
29/9/2015 08:43 | High teens discount is excessive ......for now | steeplejack
25/9/2015 20:58 | Big biotech sell off in the US today - looks like a good buying oppo!! | gargleblaster
08/8/2015 07:51 | Any views on BB Biotech (epic Bion) the Swiss based biotech trust? It pays a 5% divi as well as offering the biotech growth story. | tonsil
29/7/2015 07:26 | They're being a bit sleepy this morning. Both Gilead and Amgen leapt on Wall St yesterday. | steeplejack
29/7/2015 06:59 | Good figures from Gilead announced yesterday after hours saw shares rise around 2.6% in after hours trading.Gilead represents some 8% of IBTs net asset value. | steeplejack
20/7/2015 13:29 | Flying here again today, agree current discount seems very overdone | rathlindri
17/7/2015 20:48 | Ibt view expressed at AGM is that there should be a 5% discount to allow for unquoted holdings. | peter27
17/7/2015 20:12 | I don't plan on selling this until it trades at a premium to NAV which it should do eventually! | gargleblaster
17/7/2015 13:24 | Agreed. IBT moved away from this and followed BIOG's strategy. Was buying this when discount was 25%- broker didn't believe it then. | philo124
17/7/2015 13:09 | I'm not quite sure why the Woodford Patient Capital Trust is at a premium to asset value of some 12% and IBT is at a 10 % discount. You can rationalise it by recognising that Woodford's trust gives exposure to unlisted biotechs perhaps but nonetheless, the disparity is marked. | steeplejack
16/7/2015 18:55 | IBT BIOG IBB and WWH. Hold all, very pleased, not going to stop over time. My only regret was taking profits along the way instead of ballsing it out. Still have a very good exposure to the sector. | philo124
16/7/2015 07:40 | A nice run here and in the sector generally | rathlindri |
