Intelligent Ultrasound to present at ISUOG

Intelligent Ultrasound Group plc (AIM: IUG), the ultrasound artificial intelligence (AI) software and simulation company, announces that a 30 minute presentation featuring the company's AI software will be given on the 18(th) April 2021, at the 17(th) International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynaecology ("ISUOG") virtual international symposium. The presentation, entitled "Scan demonstration: Role of AI in obstetric imaging", will be delivered by Professor Aris Papageorghiou.

Aris is a Professor of Fetal Medicine at Oxford University. He combines his academic research with clinical practice at St George's Hospital in London and is an expert in fetal medicine and obstetric ultrasound; non-invasive and invasive prenatal diagnosis; and fetal therapy. He has a long standing interest in how machine learning can enhance ultrasound, and with fellow AI specialist, Professor Alison Noble, co-founded Intelligent Ultrasound Limited in 2004.

Clinical AI Division

SonoLyst is the world's first fully integrated AI tool that recognises the 20 views recommended by the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology mid-trimester practice guidelines for fetal imaging.

Products in development include ScanNav Anatomy PNB, which aims to simplify ultrasound-guided needling by providing the user with real-time AI-based anatomy highlighting software for a range of medical procedures. ScanNav Anatomy has been submitted for CE and FDA regulatory approval.

Simulation Division

Focusses on hi-fidelity ultrasound education and training through simulation. Its three main products are the ScanTrainer OBGYN training simulator, the HeartWorks echocardiography training simulator and the BodyWorks Eve Point of Care and Emergency Medicine training simulator. To date over 1,000 simulators have been sold to over 600 medical institutions around the world.
