RNS Number:8781W Intec Telecom Systems PLC 9 January 2001 Former ICL telecoms director joins Intec London, December 10th - Intec Telecom Systems PLC (Code: ITL, 'Intec'), a world leader in interconnect billing and mediation systems, has recruited former ICL telecoms division Director, Gary Bunney, as its Director of New Ventures. Mr Bunney's key initial responsibility will be the business growth of Intec's recently announced $245 million acquisition of Computer Generation Inc., 'CompGen'). In the 5 years prior to joining Intec, Gary established and directed ICL's global telecomms software business, including its interconnect billing and mediation products. Before that, Gary held a number of senior management roles within ICL, addressing the telecoms and utilities markets. Kevin Adams, Chief Executive Officer of Intec said: "Gary brings a wealth of experience in the broader telecoms world to Intec, and specific experience in our interconnect billing and mediation market. He will be invaluable in helping our mediation division achieve its full potential with the market leading convergent mediation solution." Gary Bunney added: "Intec is clearly now the dominant player globally in intercarrier billing. Its acquisition of CompGen gives it the opportunity to create a similar position in the closely related field of convergent mediation. The business that Intec has already won with CompGen, and its strong prospect list, suggest that we will be able to leverage CompGen's product excellence into strong business growth worldwide." Gary is 46 and married with 3 children. He has an Honours degree in English literature and philosophy from York University. ---000--- For further information: Intec Telecom Systems PLC +44 7768 808082 / +44 (0) 1483 745800 Andrew Rodaway andrew.rodaway@intec-telecom-systems.com Cubitt Consulting +44 (0) 20 7367 5100 Fergus Wylie/Serra Konuralp Serra.konuralp@cubitt.com Intec Telecom Systems PLC Intec Telecom Systems PLC is the world's leading provider, by market share, of packaged interconnect billing and settlement software, with more installations and more telecom operators, including many PTTs, using its software than any competitor.
