Another opinion

A White Knight will now appear and out of the kindness of his heart will offer to financially help Infonic out of its difficulties.

It may well be that in the past this White Knight has also saved NAMES.

Pity that these ugly scenes have been played out in this glaring publicity when it was most likely hoped that the deed could be silently executed.

Shares Magazine, you say, hmmmm

Many ah-sos.

Busted flush, you can buy as many as you want now Mr Thompson, as you stated in the Shares Magazine.

Eyemouth - I'm not sure if I understand what you are saying - do you think the company could go private on the cheap?

All those comments are interesting; they suggest that this company has been closely watched.

Care to say why!

Well, it looks like an ideal time for someone to take a stake on the cheap? Unless the pac con stake will be taken by a new investor? I'm surprised the insti. investors haven't looked to buy more since the price is less than half the last placing price - unless they're a bit stretched themselves!

I can understand someone wanting to buy this company/technology on the cheap. However as for "dirty tricks" I can't say that I've seen any market behaviour for Infonic that suggests manipulation of the share price by a 3rd party.

Of course we are continually screwed by the MMs and have suffered more than most with the recent market drops.

I hope Mr Thompson, who values this company a lot higher than the market, will be astute enough to protect his and our interests.

We've seen no buying that suggests anyone is interested, but should they be waiting in the wings, you can start offers for my shares at ... ooooh.... let's say 15p.

eyemouth - you are too cryptic for me! Do you mean that another company is looking to make a bid, then walk away?

MARK THOMPSON an opinion for you.

Keep a very close watch on the rats or you are going to get walked up the aisle and left at the altar.

That is what happened to the previous owner of this company, from the horse's mouth; "Do you know what my Caledonian friends did to me ---------"walked me up the aisle and left me at the altar", not from the horse's mouth but the word is that the paltry sum that this mine was acquired for was £10,000.

"Should've put my earlier post under ofex so repeat it here.
A diamond gold and precious stones, including rubies, catalogue available from Agricola Resources offers a unique mine to market (no middlemen) range of jewellery direct from their African mine, from £115. The pieces are beautiful. (email mine2mkt@aol.com.) great presents for deserving loved ones IMHO for birthdays anniversaries or Xmas. (0207 4359172).
At 2.5p the shares, though like all miners risky, are worth a look. The new ceo of Marconi is a holder I understand, and the catalogue should provide revenues. With a tiny market cap of under £1.2 million the chance for growth is substantial.
DYOR at ofex.co.uk and unquoted.co.uk etc."

Good luck to you MT you are going to need it.

H101 you are right to say people are looking in the past and there are some encouraging comments in the statement, but several months on from the end of period, I wonder where cash is at now? Hopefully the savings are happening as I don't believe the previous run rate was sustainable.

Guys,

My other half is suspicious about Cat so just a word of warning be careful. I could be heading for a divorce and that will cost me plenty. It could cost too if your wives find out. Don't take this as gospel it could all be just words.

Joe - yes it looks likely. To come out with a statement like that means they must be confident so perhaps have the figures to hand.

Thompson must be crying in his beer to see how some people and the market have reacted to an upbeat statement. On top of anticipated revenue we also have £1 million less cash outflow in the second half.

I don't think cashflow is going to be a problem in the second half. Yet again some are looking backwards instead of looking forwards. On reflection, I think that had I the money, I'd be buying more. Someone bought 100K today at a bargain price.

Nice to see egoi's friends taking an interest :-) Welcome.

H101 - could it be the effect of bringing in lexalytics last qtr 2008 revenue into the consolidated numbers? I haven't had time to look at the numbers, but has the MOD revenue been held over until the second half 2008 also (perhaps not, as trade receivables wasn't huge)?
