14/7/2009 12:13 | Well this thread has gone as quiet as the company itself so I've been re-reading the announcement re the variation agreement. The board talks of "...WHEN THE OPTION IS EXERCISED" not "...IF AND WHEN ..." -I'm pretty sure the board's use of the English language is not their strongest facet but they have rather conveyed the impression that they intend to go ahead and exercise the option at some point with the next 12 months. Not left themselves much choice there. So if they dont go ahead ....! Also, if they are intending to exercise it then why bother waiting - just get on and do it, now the discount has been negotiated. | chrismez

29/6/2009 14:28 | Hmmm - well that's kicked that into the long grass for a while. Surely this company is capable of making a decision once in a while!! Any more news on your campaign Flojo - now would seem an opportune moment to push on with it. The company as usual have given us no reasons as to why they have decided to extend, as opposed to exercising the option or allowing it to decay. Maybe you know why????!!!!! | chrismez
29/6/2009 13:56 | Just a reminder of what we are talking about. | tobyjug
29/6/2009 12:05 | You were right Flojo!!!! RNS Number : 6681U India Star Energy plc 29 June 2009 ? India Star Energy Plc ("India Star" or the "Company") Variation of Option Agreement 29 June 2009 The Company announced on 10 July 2008 that it had acquired an option to purchase 100 per cent. of the issued share capital of New Fuels International Limited ("NFIL"), a specialised development company involved in the creation of renewable bio-fuels and bio-energy projects under an agreement (the "Principal Agreement"). The option was exercisable before 10 July 2009. Earlier this year New Fuels International limited changed its name to NuFuels International Limited. Under an amendment deed dated 29 June 2009 (the "Amendment Deed") it has been agreed by all parties that the exercise period of the option be extended by 12 months to 10 July 2010. In addition the Company has negotiated an increase from 10 to 15 per cent in the discount rate to be used to determine the acquisition price of NFIL shares when the option is exercised. All other terms, conditions and definitions in the Principal Agreement remain the same. Enquiries: India Star Energy Plc Haresh Kanabar, Chairman 0207 297 0010 W.H. 25/6/2009 21:18 | Hiya Flojo Think in this case no news could be good news. In my previous post I agreed with the sentiment about waiting for a better economic climate, and oil price, which then stood at approx $38 a barrel. However I believe the decision to extend the option was based predominantly on the oil price which may now be more favourable at current levels. To wait longer and attempt to extend the option agreement could leave the door open for others. The financial arrangements to raise capital for the full purchase, I understood, to be based on a share issue / purchase agreement so would remove the constraints for attempting to raise funds in what I agree are still difficult economic conditions. But now may prove to be the right time for Indy to dip their toe in the water, so to speak. Good look to all. Fortune favours the brave! | clint2006
25/6/2009 08:27 | Hello venture, there will be an update soon , i would imagine they will extend the option for nu-fuels scince we have had no news sooner which is not a bad thing really, considering the economic climate. | flojo |
