31/5/2003 00:55 | Hi all, Long time no speak (as they say). Well, I've been hanging on to my little pile & have been happy with the general progress & announcments yesterday. Today I decided that I'd use my dividend return (and some extra cash) to add a few more to my holding. Price quoted for IMD is 30 mid (32 / 34). What I wanted to buy was well within the NMS, yet the best price on offer was 40p. I saw the notice of the director buy today, but I'm not sure that explains the price fluctuation. | larousse
31/5/2003 00:13 | Nice to see | madboy
30/5/2003 08:26 | No. It was the MD buying for one of his associated companies. | robinbell
29/5/2003 14:20 | I think that the 150k B trade was the same shares as the 150k R trade and the company has bought them for cancellation. The most the company can pay today is 28.875 and tomorrow it will be higher. I think they have to do an RNS each time they cancel some stock so we shall see in the next few days. I have always had the feeling that some one was trying to sell some shares and maybe thats them all shifted and we can look forward to higher prices. As ever DYOR. | robinbell
29/5/2003 13:41 | Some solid buys today maybe we could have lift off soon! | hastings
29/5/2003 13:29 | So there you have it. Now with 2.5 mill in the bank and sales still ahead 20% and more expansion to be reported on with the half year results. | robinbell
29/5/2003 13:28 | RNS Number:6645L Independent Media Distribution PLC 29 May 2003 AGM Statement 29 May 2003 Independent Media Distribution plc ("IMD" or "the Company") announces that all of the resolutions put to its AGM on 28 May 2003 were duly passed. David Haynes, Executive Chairman, made the following statement: "Sales in 2003 to date are up overall by 20%. Core revenue from radio advertising and programming maintains its growth reflecting the continuing launch of new radio stations and the competitive position of the industry in attracting advertising. A very important contributor to the total sales growth has been the music videos for the TV industry. This new revenue source has proved most popular with the music industry and TV stations and is already the major method of servicing the TV industry. "Profit margins continue to improve reflecting the benefits the Company is achieving from its ongoing technical development strategy and the cash position has increased to #2.5 million from #2.0 million at the beginning of the year. Further plans for the expansion of TV services will be reported on in the half-year report" David Haynes, Executive Chairman | robinbell
10/4/2003 14:52 | Taken from the notice of AGM to take place on 28th May 2003 Special Business 8. To authorise the company to purchase its own shares (up to 1,676,094 shares) and since the company has £2mill in the bank (and going up all the time) they might well use some of it. | robinbell
07/3/2003 13:55 | Fundamentals section now updated. | robinbell
28/2/2003 15:55 | Not bad for a small one, but market not bothered. Regards | madboy

17/11/2002 13:10 | Music video business going very well and about to take off I feel, and deals I am sure will be signed, if not already done so. A good buy at a bargain price, I have faith in this company, C D has not come back on board for no rewards. Any comments! Regards | madboy
13/11/2002 13:06 | I agree. But it's safe hands to safe hands - i.e. Elstan shares pass to Mr Dunstone, so the amount churning in the open market remains the same (as does the price). Mine remain tucked away... | larousse
27/9/2002 17:44 | And some director buying as well. Three directors have bought 52444 shares between them. | robinbell
27/9/2002 00:19 | This trading statement from Capital radio suggests that recent radio advertising activity is doing OK (6 months to sept up 2% on same period last year). This suggests that that revenue stream is stable. With the music video distribution now on line I can only see positives. This is a profitable company with excellent growth prospects. 02/9/2002 16:37 | Some really good points raised larousse. For what it is worth i will give my opinions which may, or may not be near the mark. Having spoken to the Chairman shortly after the reverse takeover it became apparent that IMD is a long term story in as much that the Directors have every intention of (at some point in time) going for a substantial fund raising. This would be for Global roll out and would likely to be in the form of a substantial discounted placing as opposed to a rights issue. In order to attract Istitutions Companies need a decent mkt cap along with a proven model, while IMD curretnly fall short on the first criteria the fact that they are profitable with a firm foothold in what is currently a niche should ensure long term visibilty and lead to a sustained rise in the share price. Of course as you say somebody could well make an attractive offer, but with the shares tightly held it would have to be at a significant premium to the current price. | hastings
02/9/2002 13:05 | I hope so too. But don't the institutions / pension funds (whatever) have rules on the minimum size of companies in which they can invest ? Will IMD ever get that big ? Will a great company, in a small niche market, not just remain as that ? My thought is that, long before the institutions get interested, (and should IMD turn out to be a real winner), then someone actually in the Music / Video industry - EMI, Sony, Whoever - would see the potential & just buy them out ? | larousse |
