30/8/2002 10:47 | Extracted from todays results. I like the last sentence of this extract. VIDEO MUSIC IMD has successfully started to distribute music videos on a commercial basis. The service was trialled with MTV and received strong support from them. It has subsequently been installed with other leading broadcasters of music videos. The balance of all broadcasters and producers supplied by music labels are now being fitted out and installations should be completed within two months. All major record labels have now used the service and a steadily increasing proportion of all new releases are being supplied via IMD's Fastrax service each week. Most development expenditure has been written off in accordance with the company's policy and the level of capital expenditure required to fit out the network is well within the company's normal cash flow. As a consequence, the major part of all revenue generated will have a direct impact on the operating profit. | robinbell

12/8/2002 13:26 | This has gone on my watch list. Can the Fastrax system be used for digital film distributions as well? I see lots of potential. | hyper al
12/8/2002 13:04 | Thanks for that - it's nice to hold a share that might actually have some prospects (a refreshing change for me). A pound by christmas anyone ? ;) | larousse
10/8/2002 17:11 | Heres some good news RNS Number:7685Z Independent Media Distribution PLC 09 August 2002 Independent Media Distribution plc ("IMD") IMD announces that it has successfully concluded the trials of its Fastrax video distribution service for music releases. The service has been installed in the top ten music television broadcasters and is now being rolled out to the remaining key distribution points. All major music labels are being offered contracts for the distribution of their music video releases which deliver financial savings over the alternative of sending out VHS tapes. The music television broadcasters have received the new Fastrax method of distribution enthusiastically and IMD believes that the broadcasters see the Fastrax service contributing to a much more efficient system of reviewing the large number of new videos they receive every week. With the Fastrax service video releases are sent over a secure connection to the television companies that the record label wants to reach. The video then sits on a dedicated secure computer ready for review. The system incorporates functions based on feedback from IMD's partners within the television industry to ensure that the video playback system delivers a top quality preview capability. IMD views the Fastrax video system as a significant commercial development. It opens up an important new potential revenue stream, it introduces the company's distribution skills to the television industry and broadens IMD's existing connections with the music labels. | madboy

21/5/2002 18:43 | www.imdonline.co.uk You might have to download software, but only takes a moment. Good Luck | madboy
20/5/2002 15:24 | I've tried to find the IMD website, but have only found the Fastrax one. Any chance of posting the link ? Thanks in advance... PS I speak from a position of total ignorance on these matters, but I think that you answered you own question already - i.e. the company is so small it's overlooked. I read the two write ups in the IRS report and I'm a small holder, but I think that we'll just have to wait. | larousse
18/5/2002 10:56 | A 10% rise Friday afternoon with a decent delayed Buy of 100k. This highlights the fact that any future newsflow will launch the illiquid shares to much higher levels than present. Personally find it intriguing that so many of the so called growth stock pickers have failed to tap into IMD. Profitable every year since its launch with last set of figures showing £800k profit on turnover of £2.5 million, with only 35 million shares in issue the EPS Figure is likely to be pretty impressive along with the forward PER. As the only Company in their field IMD are well placed to grow organically while current trials with MTV in the states are likely to lead to an earnings enhancing deal and put the Company under the spotlight. Little wonder then that Charles Dunstone of Carphone Warehouse invested some years back and now holds 9% of the Company. For anyone interested more info at IMD website and Fastrax. | hastings
08/4/2002 16:44 | Anyone looking for a real value growth stock should check these out. Results out on Friday were excellent, profit up at £800k on Turnover of £2.5 million that is pretty impressive. Importantly the Company announced a trial supply to MTV. That if succesful could really open the way ahead. | hastings
24/2/2002 15:46 | Most shares are placed with institutions and small amount of buying will soon push price up also with only 33 million shares availability is short. So if I were you get in QUICK and buy some. Make my day and push them up. | madboy
21/2/2002 19:22 | Surely there is great value to be had in this stock. Turnover £2.3 million with profit of £500k. No competition and a strong balance sheet. For added interest Mr Dunstan of Carphone warehouse is on board. Could be very, very interesting. | hastings |
