04/7/2011 08:12 | Graham1TP PRINCE2 definition/summary "PRINCE2 is a process-based approach for project management, providing an easily tailored and scaleable project management methodology for the management of all types of projects. The method is the de-facto standard for project management in the UK and is practiced worldwide." "What is PRINCE2? - PRINCE2 Definition PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a process-based method for effective project management. PRINCE2 is a de facto standard used extensively by the UK Government and is widely recognised and used in the private sector, both in the UK and internationally. The method PRINCE2 is in the public domain, offering non-proprietorial best practice guidance on project management. PRINCE2 is a registered trademark of OGC." websites for more info www.intellexis.com/ and www.prince2.com (website owned by ILX, while prince2 process is UK Govt. created and owned) the prince2 website links to the websites for the other ILX products such as ITIL | markt
04/7/2011 08:09 | Graham1TY Your question about reliance on PRINCE2 contracts. You are correct. I am not an expert on PRINCE2 and only fairly new to ILX...and I have never done an ILX course or bought an ILX product (to know ILX at good level would need to do that imo)...but I have had a look at the accounts and the last few year or so of RNS (yawn !) and summary news in last years..... The % of sales that is PRINCE2 is a risk for ILX. Your point is correct. Of course, imo, ILX is trying to reduce this risk, such as by trying to increase sales from other products...and investment in other products. eg. the sales via the web portal have increased by 162% to a significant amount. If the same gain this year then a factor to the share price imo. (on-line, automatic sale, automatic taking of profit ...after the costs of managing the on-line function (low imo)). (note that PRINCE2 seems to be expanding as a global market...always good to be in a sector that is expanding....and that with Govts. backing it it appears to have long term future.....for existing Govts. supporting it to change to a new process would take years I think and be very difficult I think (more likely is a new version, not expected at the moment I believe)....that is good for ILX) ILX would like, imo, to increase sales from ITIL as well.....it was mentioned in a recent RNS I think. ===== ITIL and PRINCE2 are UK Govt. owned processes/methodolog If you do a web search you can find the Govt. websites and it will give you all the info. The ILX website gives a summary. ( the UK Govt. ownership and support is the reason for sales in English speaking countries such as Auz and NZ....info on any other language versions, see ILX website....operating in Holland and Denmark I think, see RNS etc....and large sales last year in Middle East, I dont know in which language) | markt
04/7/2011 07:54 | Divinausa1. Lets try to make this board a place for educated discussion and exchange of information and opinions. We can all learn new information or opinions, incl me...or re-inforce our existing opinions. So, please, lets not be blindly against any questions or posts we dont like, but instead give an informed reply with information, for the benefit of all. ... by posting opinions and information we can all benefit by all learning something.... the question(s) from Graham1TY are spot on imo. ILX fans should try to provide informed reply to give G more info rather than tell him not to buy. I will try to answer Gs qu. in a minute. | markt
04/7/2011 07:49 | RNS including Ken Scott, Chief Executive, ILX Group commented: "This is the largest contract won to date by our team and is one of the largest contracts to have been awarded in New Zealand. It was secured against fierce competition and we have the potential to win additional business from other Government departments. "We are continuing to increase our market share, particularly overseas as we further expand our international operations." ==== "It was secured against fierce competition and we have the potential to win additional business from other Government departments." ....text indicates that other Govt. Depts. can now place PINCE2 orders without having to go thru a new tendering process.....can add on to the existing contract.... potential for additional sales for ILX "It was secured against fierce competition " wow, good news for ILX ...shows that product offerring is good.... ==== shares are underpriced imo forecast is 1.8M PBT for this year from 1.4M in just reported year....for on-going business.....if then add on the costs for the directors and for the AIM listing ...then you can see how much money the co. makes... | markt
04/7/2011 07:47 | Ok poombear, when will it get superseded by a new standard ? | graham1ty
04/7/2011 06:21 | Prince2 is an internationally recognised Project manager certification. Its widely used in IT, and I believe also other industries. | poombear
04/7/2011 06:12 | nice contract | divinausa1
04/7/2011 05:57 | just bounced 30% since March in just 3 months if not convinced then dont buy. Simple! | divinausa1
04/7/2011 05:40 | Can anyone tell me what Prince2 actually is ? have never heard of it away from ILX. They are very very dependent on it and say they are the market leader ( must be a tiny market then ?). In these days of regulation etc, it would just take a government/regulator | graham1ty

27/6/2011 16:21 | the buy note analysis looks to be logical and fair,,,,but should a large investor be permitted to issue 'strong buy' note ? .....personally I dont think so.....large shareholders shouldnt be allowed to produce anything official imo... (although I completely agree with strong buy recommendation.....u | markt
27/6/2011 14:46 | TW just issued a STRONG BUY note with target 61.5p | paleje
27/6/2011 09:57 | BTW 62k traded over on Plus official Plus price to buy now quoted at 33p...actual current Plus trading price = ? === graph looks good imo. ...hopefully a new low selling price will form around 28-30p....as part of ever higher support levels.... (illiquid share.....even needs a little market interest to get the price moving...) hopefully GCI et al will give it a positive mention at some time | markt
27/6/2011 09:54 | well ILX, we may be getting there at last. | spaceparallax
27/6/2011 09:44 | sales via the web portal were up 162% (to a little below 1M pounds).....nice sign....if can grow on that it will be good news... ==== this share is way underpriced imo.....(ignoring the unknown NASA topic !! see previous posts) | markt
27/6/2011 07:54 | Agreed, numbers more or less in line but prospects look very good. International sales dominated by e-learning which converts to higher profits, even if they can just maintain UK level it's attractive. Current year PE of under 5 I would think, nice one to tuck away. | paleje
27/6/2011 06:41 | PE 6 yield 5% not many growth stocks about this cheap | divinausa1
26/6/2011 16:18 | You mean the July 2010 ILX newsletter ?!.....that is the latest one on the ILX website ====== not so good that who ever wrote the July 2010 ILX newsletter doesn't know when to use "of" and when to use "off" (in 2nd header after the overall header...so the mistake is very visible) | markt
25/6/2011 23:31 | try reading this months newsletter from ILX no more research posted here by me. Do your own! | divinausa1
25/6/2011 19:01 | I repeat my comment !!....(100% correct imo) "...but ...it does NOT mention any use of ILX by NASA as far as I can see.... ITIL being a processs administered/support What is the point that you are trying to make ? 'cause I can't see it.... apologies if I am being dim (NASA have not chosen ILX, in case anyone is unclear, well not based on the news released........new sales or profits for ILX as result of the info you have linked to .....nil....... if there is some benefit for ILX then I am all ears..... OK, I note it is a vote of confidence in the approach and use of ITIL training....but ILX are only 1 of the providers....and in the past the % of ILX revenue from ITIL has been small, of course they will try to improve that) | markt |
