THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONTAINS INSIDE INFORMATION

17 April 2023

IGas Energy plc (AIM: IGAS)

("IGas" or "the Company")

Planning Permission Granted for Glentworth Development

IGas is pleased to announce that Lincolnshire County Council has granted planning consent for its Glentworth development.

The development is for an initial appraisal well and up to six horizontal development wells in Phase II.

Phase I has the potential to add c.200 bbls/d and development of c.1.0 mmstb 2P reserves (currently 2P undeveloped). If phase I is successful, this will be followed by further development drilling in subsequent years with the subsequent development having the potential to add an additional 500bbls/d and the addition of c.2mmstb 2P reserves from 2C. Phase I of the project has a mid-case NPV of GBP17.5 million.

Environmental permit applications associated with the project, and required before operations can commence, have been submitted to the Environment Agency.

Commenting Chris Hopkinson, IGas Interim Executive Chairman, said:

"I am pleased that the Committee has made this positive determination following the recommendation by the Planning Officer .

Actually disappointed with the results given buoyant oil prices . There seems little increase in production and spending money to stay where they are production wise .
The geotherm is moving very slowly and no sign of any money coming in for the foreseeable . Any downturn in oil price will hit them hard and is partly being prices in . The lack of shake gas return has also hit them where there is great potential .
Don't see much movement in the shareprice tbh if anything it looks to be heading lower maybe 10p again . They need to up production or increase the profit on it somehow

Mark Costar, manager of the JOHCM UK Growth Strategy fund on IGAS:
‘It trades below the value of its tax losses, let alone its profitable producing assets,’ he said.
Costar was confident the company’s geothermal portfolio would drive significant growth.
‘It’s got the UK’s largest geothermal portfolio out there,’ he said.

Same here Sandy, huge potential here, igas is trading below the value of its tax losses, let alone its profitable producing assets.

Business makes £18m in operating cash flow. Plans to spend £15.6m in keeping their fields running, decommissioning others and a few geothermal projects. Running hard just to stand still in my opinion.

Results quite good apart from the shale gas write down. Share price deserves to be much higher than current with underlying operating profit of £16 million, a p/e ratio of 10 would give a target price of around 126p, however small oil companies are deeply unpopular at the moment. Even a p/e ratio of 5 would give 63p. Some hype around geothermal energy might help.

Hbr , I agree. Time for a small divi. Show confidence in the future.

That's a promising forerunner to the results.

I really don't want to build up too much hope because of the risk of it being dashed, but its not beyond the realms of possibility that the board have considered issuing a divi. It may be early in the process of conversion to greener energy but at £0.01 divi (5%) the cost to the company would be £1.27m. What a signal that would send out to the market.
