No chance of 200 and probably zero chance of them going bust. But overvalued with today's news yes.

Messrs Hewson and Wallace were full of confidence and bluster at the recent Dublin roadshow, sucking in new victims. Just shows, one doesnt know whats around the corner.

To me, this is massively overdone. The time to short was yesterday!

Agree the only way to short this will be through CMC or similiar and vice versa..

Can be done elsewhere but complex

LiquidKid - that isn't true. There are plenty of brokers that let you short actual shares as a retail punter. Interactive brokers for one.

You have never been able to trade IG shares at IG. Much like advfn do not allow any advfn threads.

But again can anyone shed light on why you can't trade IG on IGs site? Conflict of interest if their hedging?

The irony is that a spread bet or CFD
IS. THE. ONLY. WAY.
to SHORT SELL a financial instrument as a retail punter.
And in the example above i.e. shorting IG you will need very very deep pockets to cover your margin.
So another irony is that the Leverage ratio will have nothing to do with it
And then there's the borrow fee.

Very nice balance sheet there with net cash and cash equivalents of £0.5 billion. Makes the size of the today's drop look even more extreme.
