Posted at 02/2/2021 17:02 by davidosh This Monday we are joined on the show by a top performing CEO of a company that Mello conference regulars will know exceptionally well….There is absolutely no doubt that over the past 15 years David Hornsby of Ideagen has been one of the most successful leaders and entrepreneurs that the AIM growth company market and before that on Plus Markets has seen… Indeed the growth has been amazing as it has gone from being a sub million pound tiddler on Plus to the nearly £750 million market cap today that Ideagen is today.Any investors that could see the investment case and had confidence in the company David was trying to build when he presented at Mello Central in 2011 and Mello Beckenham in early 2012 would now be at least 25 times the richer but he is sadly saying goodbye and moving into retirement. However we are sure there is still another chapter still to write and David will share the next inevitable entrepreneurial journey with Mello viewers and also tell us how he sets about delivering amazing returns for investors… |

Astonishing really, sales and acquisitions apparently unaffected, no doubt a lot of hard work made this possible.Really sorry to see David Hornsby step down - he's been exemplary in shareholder engagement, is such a nice guy with a great sense of humour. Ben is very impressive so no worries over the succession but hopefully it's not the last we see of David in the Investor community. Regards Maddox |

Posted at 11/9/2019 12:01 by rivaldo Cheers leavers, very useful.Funnily enough I sold all my shares at around the 150p mark recently. It's primarily about nervousness around the markets and general investor sentiment, and therefore protection of profits from an almost three-bagger which was one of my larger holdings held completely in my ISA. IDEA as a high-quality company is on a very high P/E. I'm somewhat concerned that it now has a combination of cost growth from all the global expansion it's undertaking, together with a slowdown in corporate decision-making reported in certain sectors. IDEA have not reported any new contract wins on their usually excellent web site for almost three months now. The possible dilution/need for funding as per the CFO and leavers above is also a downer. So I can't see much upside at present, but can see a sell-off on below-par or average trading. Which probably means they'll be bid for tomorrow at 190p :o)) Good luck all. IDEA will remain high on my watch list and I may rejoin if my thoughts are proven wrong. Which may well be the case. |
