26/8/2008 09:07 | Lozzer, I appreciate your opinion as the voice of reasonableness and rational investment logic here. | bongo bwana
26/8/2008 09:04 | The market has (predictably) reacted to the news BB If IDD is asking the market for money to help run the company then that may mean that it is in trouble at this moment as it cannot fund the day-to-day running out of its own incoming revenue As the market is still reeling under the current crisis, it could mean that IDD may have to wait a while before it can get money IDD has also banged the national ID scheme drum for a number of years. It was this that persuaded me to get into IDD. That and the promise of the labour government to introduce the ID card scheme. I'm still hopeful of the ID card scheme as other cournties needs will eventually force the UK to go down the card route, but there are other players in the market that will have the same technology for sale | lozzer1
26/8/2008 08:54 | £3million appears to be the ceiling to their funding needs | bongo bwana
26/8/2008 08:50 | I thought we would have seen some more movement in the share price and more trades? | diddy123
26/8/2008 08:45 | Looks pretty positive to me: About to go into profit and approacheS......... LONDON (Thomson Financial) - ID Data Group Plc. said it expects a significant improvement in EBITDA from continuing operations in the full year. ID Data also said it received approaches regarding the acquisition of its core business, ID Data Ltd., and it is evaluating these along side its future funding needs. It expects to report a loss of 700,000 pounds on sales growth of 25 percent, compared with an EBITDA loss of 3.3 million pounds last year. However, the smart card and card solutions group also said it was hopeful that its trading will move EBITDA positive in the current financial year and is encouraged by recent business wins. The company seeks to raise between 2 million to 3 million pounds through debt, equity issue or a combination of the two to meet its short term working capital and debt funding requirements, in addition to funding future expansion. | tam oshanter
26/8/2008 07:51 | I wonder has a proposed purchase price been mooted? No REAL surprises in this statement really as (IMHO) it was almost inevitable that a company showing the early indications of getting on top of its business/market woud receive an approach. What makes it vulnerable to a predator taking at least a substantial interest is its need for funds to meet expansion costs. IDD appears to be VERY confident of securing substantial business from the National ID Scheme. | bongo bwana
26/8/2008 07:47 | Oh Joy We eithert see a further share value dilution to keep a dying dog alive or we see the share valued at some silly price | lozzer1
26/8/2008 07:44 | This could prove quite interesting now that it has been stated there is some interest in buying the company. | charles clore

22/8/2008 09:44 | Dids, the Friday issue is normally used for poor results. I don't think it will be a Friday this time round. | charles clore
21/8/2008 16:04 | In the last 5 years there results have been out on a Friday 3 times on a Monday and on a thursday, between the times of 7:02 and 18:03 so it could be tomorrow.LOL | diddy123
21/8/2008 15:51 | Calm before the storm? A week's worth of pretty much no movement and ordinary volumes. No-one (apart from us, obviously) seems to be buying in anticipation of the results. In fact, EVT have offloaded a chunk, possibly in anticipation of the results, if you know what I mean. I'm with Charles on this; positive movement above 0.45 is required, along with volumes to support a further rise to Dexapoint's fair value of 1.1p. That's the only evidence that will convince me there isn't something going on here (something not good, that is). | snake516
21/8/2008 08:41 | The online limits at the moment are buy 500,000 @ 0.39 sell 500,000 @ 0.35 | diddy123

20/8/2008 15:34 | 4s - I've never been wrong about this company. I've traded it from way back but this year I've gone long, and I only take calculated risks. The relevant information is in the RNS reports and on the company web site. Anyone who cares to do a bit of research will have a fairly good idea what is happening. As far as I can see the only thing dragging the price down is the large seller. Last Friday we discovered who that is. Their reasons are known only to them but they may have needed to raise cash to offset losses elsewhere or it could be portfolio balancing, who knows? Whatever their reason, it looks as if they're an isolated seller so I'm not too concerned about it. I take the longer term view - it allows us to pick up stock at cheaper prices and I am very grateful to them for that. | charles clore
20/8/2008 15:25 | Hope you're right Charles. 4S | 4shorty
20/8/2008 15:12 | A rise to 0.45p or above would confirm an upward short term trend. It would also encourage more buying. In addition to that, the price should respond to the fact that we are approaching what I believe will be significantly better than usual results. | charles clore
20/8/2008 14:57 | I don't think that the movement we're seeing is related to any waiting for results | lozzer1
20/8/2008 14:10 | I would have thought we would have a little more action at this stage if results are near? | ghc |
