05/4/2010 19:20 | And imo too. Hopefully another good week to come - if the price can bound over 300p then it might be not that long until we get 350p and maybe 400p based on 36.4p EPS forecast this year. | rivaldo
04/4/2010 08:51 | Thanks Spot for results date. These IMO look significantly UV, if debt is coming down at this pace, the equity value flip IMO will not go un-noticed. Lots more to come IMO. | qs9
04/4/2010 08:06 | News of a high profilr contract win from two weeks ago: "Hyder to undertake strategic environmental assessment of Greater Manchester's local transport plan Hyder UK's Environment business has been appointed by Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) to undertake a statutory strategic environmental assessment (SEA) of the Executive's emerging local transport plan (LTP). GMPTE is responsible for the delivery of one of the UK's largest public transport systems. The Local Transport Act 2008 places a duty on Integrated Transport Authorities in metropolitan areas to produce a LTP and European legislation requires that LTPs should be subject to SEA. GMPTE's LTP3 will be the prime document for setting out the detail of how transport will be better managed and improved to serve the two million residents of Greater Manchester. Our integrated assessment will include SEA, health impact assessment (HIA), equality impact assessment (EqIA) and habitats regulation assessment (HRA). This will provide a framework for evaluating the complex interactions between the draft LTP strategy and ten implementation plans, and their effects upon the natural environment, greenhouse gas emissions, human health, equality and diversity issues and European designated nature conservation sites. The work will involve extensive stakeholder consultation. This is a significant and high profile commission for Hyder and will assist our client in ensuring that the LTP is underpinned by robust, transparent and leading edge sustainability principles." | rivaldo
01/4/2010 13:36 | Nope! All easily placed from the look of it. Buying coming in at over 260p now. | rivaldo
01/4/2010 12:29 | that top slicing didn't seem to affect the price much Rivaldo? | cambium
31/3/2010 19:01 | Nice close. One of the directors decided to do some rather heavy top-slicing. HYC is a relatively illiquid share, so I suppose there aren't that many chances to take advantage of heavy demand/good liquidity. | rivaldo
31/3/2010 08:39 | A little more from Numis here via UK-Analyst: "Hyder Consulting (HYC), one of the architects of the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, said that full-year adjusted pre-tax profit for the year to 31 March is expected to be ahead of estimates and that it remains confident of achieving a strong performance for the coming year. Around 80% of its profits were from overseas, and sterling weakness would result in around 2 million pounds of foreign exchange gains. Net debt at the end of the year was also substantially below expectations. Numis Securities repeated its buy stance and 375p target, saying that Hyder would benefit from its focus on the engineering sector, as that industry is likely to benefit from consolidation. Hyder shares gained 25.75p to 248.25p." | rivaldo
31/3/2010 08:07 | Good broker support yesterday (unsurprisingly) - 375p anyone? "Numis has...a buy and 375p target for Hyder Consulting" "Panmure Gordon...a buy for Hyder Consulting, raising target to 291p from 266p" | rivaldo
30/3/2010 21:54 | There should be a continued rise from here imo. Any rise above 300p should see a quick push for 350p+ given the fundamentals and prospects. Highly tempted to ISA some more! | rivaldo
30/3/2010 16:36 | Agreed. Surprised not moved higher IMO, but happy to see steady push Northwards. What date actual results anyone? | qs9
30/3/2010 13:23 | Brokers' consensus for EPS was 31.7p - May be closer to 40p now The share price is still far too low - Should be over £3.50 IMHO | grigor
30/3/2010 09:39 | Riv, off topic, let me know your thoughts on BRK, esp as Rensburg has just benn taken out today for a far higher premium, cheers Cambo | cambium
30/3/2010 09:38 | Bought this as a sterling hedge a few weeks ago . Its duly performed -there has to be something good about a trashed currency! | ohisay
30/3/2010 09:23 | Ta chaps. In fact, the highest forecast for the year just ending is 32.1p EPS, so I suppose there's a possibility the historic EPS will be 35p+ EPS. We'll soon see. | rivaldo
30/3/2010 09:03 | welcome back Rivaldo | cambium
30/3/2010 08:59 | Agreed looks very promising. Let's see how next 48 hours unravels as usually they are hitting the phones, city meetings to update shareholders etc.... | qs9
30/3/2010 08:58 | Bought back in myself this morning for the first time in ages. Should be minimum historic 33p EPS now, with say 37p+ EPS this year. The net debt reduction ahead of expectations will really go down well with the City. As QS9 says, 300p+ looks nailed on in a stable market. | rivaldo
30/3/2010 08:45 | Sorry Stegrego, came out in B&W worse than I meant, not meaning to be aggressive! Looking forward to new upgrades on the back of this and don't see why the 10% so far should not keep going IMO as these are very lowly rated IMO at the moment | qs9
30/3/2010 08:25 | I dont care! Just pointing it out. | stegrego
30/3/2010 08:12 | Who cares? Ahead statement is good, trading update looks decent, cash should therefore IMO be OK, am in again and expect £3 along the way iMO! | qs9
30/3/2010 07:50 | Ahead statement, which is nice, although i expect its more to do with currency gains than anything else. | stegrego |
