HSBC GLOBAL ABSOLUTE LIMITED



The Board of Directors of HSBC Global Absolute Limited is pleased to announce
the successful completion of the Placing and Offer for Subscription of US Dollar
Shares and Sterling Hedged Shares.



The Issue has raised net proceeds of USD 4,140,380.08 and GBP 10,781,324.19 for
the Company. 2,309,320 US Dollar Shares and 11,140,033 Sterling Hedged Shares
have been allotted pursuant to the Placing, and  23,765 Sterling Hedged Shares
have been allotted pursuant to the Offer for Subscription. Such allotments are
conditional on admission to the Official List and commencement of dealings in
the US Dollar Shares and Sterling Hedged Shares on the London Stock Exchange,
which are expected to take place on 29 June 2006.



Upon admission, the Company will have 42,351,149 US Dollar Shares and 20,361,902
Sterling Hedged Shares in issue.
