    Result of Class Meetings and EGM 

    The Company announces that at the two Class Meetings and EGM held today all resolutions were duly passed. Accordingly, the Liquidators,
Stephen Le Page and Nicholas Vermeulen of PricewaterhouseCoopers CI LLP, National Westminster House, Le Truchot, St Peter Port, Guernsey,
Channel Islands GY1 4ND, have now been appointed to wind up the affairs and distribute the assets in accordance with the Scheme. 

    Results of Elections

    Sterling Shareholders made, or were deemed to have made, the following elections for cash or securities in HSBC Global Absolute Limited
("HGAL"): 4,850,277 Sterling Hedged Shares for HGAL Sterling Hedged Shares; 12,348 Sterling Hedged Shares for HGAL Euro Hedged Shares; 0
Sterling Hedged Shares for HGAL US Dollar Shares; and, 7,661,792 Sterling Hedged Shares for cash. 

    Euro Shareholders elected, or were deemed to have elected, as follows:  6,000 Euro Shares for HGAL Sterling Hedged Shares; 8,378,524
Euro Shares for HGAL Euro Hedged Shares; 83,087 Euro Shares for HGAL US Dollar Shares; and, 8,466,070 Euro Shares for cash.
