18/10/2001 12:10 | Dublin, 18th October, 2001 - Fusion Business Solutions, a leading IT consulting company, has been selected as the sole implementation partner by Irish Health Agencies to roll out the first phase of the SAP HR system to the Western Health Board. Fusion Business Solutions has already worked on the PPARS project (Personnel, Payroll, Attendance and Recruitment System), a specific project team established by a consortium of health boards and voluntary hospitals, to implement the first phase of the SAP HR system in six other health boards and hospitals throughout Ireland. This is currently one of the largest SAP HR projects in Europe. Commenting on the implementation contract Martin McFadden, Sales and Marketing Director, Fusion Business Solutions said "While attracting, retaining, and motivating the best people is important, organisations today also need to demonstrate that their HR strategies and solutions add value to the quality of service they provide. The SAP based HR solution will facilitate better resource management within the Health Service. Also, it will assist in delivery of consistent application of personnel policy in the Health Service. We are very pleased to continue our partnership with the Irish Health Service on this significant National project." Fusion has previously assisted in other SAP HR Implementations in the Irish Health Service, which include five other health boards and one voluntary hospital. This includes the Eastern Regional Health Authority, North Western Health Board, North Eastern Health Board, Mid-Western Health Board, Midland Health Board, Western Health Board and St. James Hospital. Fusion also has an application support contract with the PPARS SAP HR Customer Competence Centre, which supports all the existing SAP HR installations in the health service. "The importance of streamlining essential HR management processes can't be underestimated. Our challenge was how to provide a system that would enhance the Human Resources service within the health service. While this is the first step in our project it is vital to establish a solid foundation before moving the project forward." said Tony Reilly, National Project Director PPARS. "Through our work with Fusion Business Solutions we have been able to achieve this, implementing an expandable HR system. Fusion's implementation expertise and knowledge coupled with their ability to build a strong relationship with our internal team members has proved very important in the success of the project to date." | pinkle | |
