12/11/2003 09:23 | I noticed Morse taking over a German company today.....and I could not help observing how HOR had gone from (69mX20cents) 12 ,million euros valuation to (70X90cents)63 million Euros today. Is HOR really worth that sort of money on its own....... Comments please? | hypocrite
11/11/2003 23:39 | I think the uptrend may be starting to accelerate a little. It seems to have completed that strange cup and handle type pattern with upward sloping boundary. I noticed a similar pattern with SEG earlier this year and there was a good price move from that one, so it will be interesting to see what happens. There is a gap from a couple of years back which may be resistance between 62.5 and 67p. | smoketrader
11/11/2003 23:24 | Ermmm... well... er... you could be right. Although, since as far as I know they never announced winning the Ingersoll-Rand contract in the first place it could still have a positive effect on the share price. (Bluffed my way out of that one quite well I think) | smoketrader
11/11/2003 23:03 | 'scuse me folks, but doesn't 'completion' refer to a past Ingersoll Rand order on which work is now done and dusted, rather than a new contract? Hence the absence of any RNS contract announcement(?). Past-tense phrases like 'were implemented' would seem to imply so.. Whatever. At today's closing price the shares have exactly trebled this year. With no correction deeper than 15% during that time. That's about twice the pace of the TASX index (an overlay of which might be appropriate in the header?) mtg | m.t.glass
11/11/2003 11:54 | Up again. Looks like it's breaking out. | smoketrader
10/11/2003 18:14 | Good finds! Looks like there probably should have been an RNS for that contract win. Seems odd that they won't announce the value of the contract. Multimillion could be anything over 2M euro I suppose. I assume e-Horizon is a different company(?), but Horizon could well benefit from increased adoption of Sun Java. | smoketrader
10/11/2003 17:50 | Look's like Java.net is selling well too.. could be some coin coming horizon's way Dated october 14. SUN SPURS INNOVATION IN TELECOMMUNICATIONS AS JAVA.NET TECHNOLOGY AIMS TO REDUCE COST AND TIME-TO-MARKET FOR NEW PRODUCTS Telecommunications Companies Nortel Networks, e-Horizon Streaming Technologies and BaseVoice Using Technology Developed on java.net as Membership Climbs to over 23,000 in 120 Days GENEVA, SWITZERLAND ITU TELECOM WORLD 2003 OCTOBER 14, 2003 - Sun Microsystems, Inc. 10/11/2003 17:32 | Smokey look what i found.. what deos it mean multimillion?? sounds like an rns was in order myself.... November 03 Horizon & Sun Complete A Multi-Million Euro Contract With Ingersoll-Rand International Horizon and Sun Microsystems have completed a multi-million euro contract for hardware, software and services with Ingersoll-Rand International in a competitive win against several other significant bidders. This is one of the biggest IT business transactions implemented in Ireland this year. The infrastructure elements of the project were jointly implemented by Horizon and Sun's professional services team and is providing a large cluster of Sun enterprise servers to run Ingersoll-Rand's mission critical business applications on a 24x7x365 basis. Thomas Walsh, Technology Services Manager, Ingersoll-Rand International adds, "Sun Microsystems provided the most complete solution for our needs, this was evident even in the evaluation process, and they understood our specific requirements. Sun and Horizon performed all the implementation services ensuring a smooth roll-out." Ingersoll-Rand is a diversified multinational manufacturer of industrial and commercial equipment and components for the global markets of security and safety, climate control, industrial solutions and infrastructure. Its brands include Bobcat, Club Car and Thermo King. Ingersoll-Rand International is the corporation's new global export sales and service trading company which will represent over US$3billion in revenue when fully operational. Ingersoll-Rand already employs 500 people in Ireland. This new project enables Ingersoll-Rand to take advantage of cross-selling opportunities across all business service units with one integrated system while also allowing customers to order products via the Internet. Thomas Walsh, Technology Services Manager, Ingersoll-Rand International explains, "As we are planning to channel all business through our Dublin-based sales and services company, we plan to process US$3 billion worth of transactions within the next few years. Sun Microsystems provided us with a new IT infrastructure that allowed us to implement a common Financial, Supply Chain Management and Order Management System. In the competitive tender Sun Microsystems was the clear winner." This new roll-out will enable Ingersoll-Rand to develop after-sales servicing opportunities and gain knowledge of customer requirements not possible under the current architecture. According to Aidan Furlong, Country Manager, Sun Microsystems, "IRI's requirement was for a scalable and flexible system with high availability to protect its initial investment and ensure a smooth migration path. Integration of enterprise applications and web services was a key issue." Sun has supplied a SunFire 15K as the main production platform and a SunFire 6800 for disaster recovery. Numerous Sun workgroup servers are used in the highly resilient 3-tier architecture. -------------------- HORIZON TECHNOLOGY GROUP plc. 10/11/2003 13:56 | Just you, me and Gartmore by the looks of things, bb. | smoketrader
10/11/2003 10:05 | No sells or trades for that matter , should see a tick up soon , can't understand the lack of interest in this stock though. | blackbear
07/11/2003 19:34 | Almost triggered another buy signal on the point and figure chart today. An upside break from that 10-week cup and handle pattern would also be nice to see. | smoketrader
07/11/2003 16:50 | No need for my 10k , here she blow's. | blackbear
06/11/2003 18:12 | Spread closed up a bit later , thought they were taking the mick this morning . tempted for another 10k probably push it up to 60p. | blackbear
05/11/2003 12:27 | The chart is still bullish at anything over 52p (edited lol). I can't believe how small the NMS is on this stock. I haven't had a problem with it before but they wouldn't even give me a firm quote for 1k last week. Whether that's good or not I don't know. Maybe they're getting short of stock. | smoketrader
31/10/2003 18:53 | But you definately get kudos points for finding an Irish chart, begorrah! ;) | mad4it
31/10/2003 18:35 | Mad, it took me ages to find an Irish chart too! But you're probably right. In the complete absence of any way of changing the settings on the RSI I imagine it's a bog standard 14 period one. And why they insist on using 80 and 20 levels on the plot instead of 70 and 30 I don't know. Bigcharts does the same thing. Cheers | smoketrader
31/10/2003 18:12 | ST Yeah, unfortunately the ADVFN MACD and RSI calculations are incorrect. Still, they're close enough for a guide.( But in fairness your chart doesn't show enough detail, RSI time period isn't there and the RSI level is hard to work out. ) blackbear I don't profess to be a charting expert, but for what it's worth you have a nice uptrend which looks like it should continue, this is reinforced by the stochastics, although there is a bit of divergence here with the fast starting to roll over again, (but it's to early to call if this is a meaningful change and it's still fairly bullish) but the slow stochastic is bullish and that is usually the best indicator). | mad4it
31/10/2003 17:55 | Nice chart smoke , link for quote and price data. also in header.. | blackbear
31/10/2003 17:46 | Irish 6-month chart: P.S. Don't like your indicators mad4IT! | smoketrader
