Tea leaves.
Hoc have learnt to cut costs substantially making it a very low cost pm miner.
Debt is being reduced at a huge rate which becomes self feeding as interest will reduce further saving costs.

SG - Out of interest where do you think on the charting side that HOC will be a "buy" in your book? I am no chartist but the May/June area looks very similar to the July/November pattern (just much longer duration of 1 month compared to 5 months!) and it looks like the upside is more likely than downside. Everything is hinging on where we go on the breakout from the wedge shown, and discussed before. Up or down? You seem to favour down others seem to favour up. All I know is that you or they are correct, but I hope, with respect, it is not you ;-)

I think Silver and HOC are range bound until elections are over now.

Never has the markets looked more manipulated and controlled ... just smacks of keeping a lid on everything

Silver and gold slowly getting stronger from the lows of the day and HOC getting weaker. Oh well. Hopefully our day will come and this BB will become active again with positive comments. You can tell when we are going down ;-(

You are trailing the pack Simon. Get some knowledge & experience in = a crash, and EVERYTHING

Maybe I should have said when instead of if.

Forget the rigged polls. Donald could win. That MIGHT trigger a crash...

What will happen to the gold and silver miners if there is a stock market crash?

I am just keen to keep buying at these levels as money becomes available. The gold and silver bull will be multi year, literally I expect it to last what, 5 years minimum.
In five years the dividends from mid- large cap pm miners will be incredible.
The micro cap explorers will be worth holding onto to, the decent ones.
Fortunes will be made.
Not interested in short term movements though it's always good to keep tabs ;)

Seems like even 300p is a major barrier now GS888. You will have to wait a bit longer for that 888p!

As 54% is owned by Eduardo Hochschild,I would imagine it would take a massive bid to convince him to sell.

As has been said Vanguard STILL have a considerable holding. Yes, they may sell more and most likely will. This could keep HOC down a bit in the short term. Longer term I hope they will be proved wrong to have sold, but GS888 hit it on the head with others buying their stock and creating a market.
