25/2/2022 13:31 | Not bad recovery! Should have bought more in the mid 1800s yesterday! | scepticalinvestor
25/2/2022 11:14 | I don't know why the market puts a low p.e and shareprice on Hikma.Ok boring but a steady eddy for a portfolio. | montyhedge
25/2/2022 09:40 | MH: If you forget AIM HIK has the lowest PE in FTSE (all shares) for pharma (11 shares in that sector). It has the third-best dividend yield. It has the 2nd best NAV value as a percentage of Market Cap . It has the 5th best cash pile It has the 2nd best profits (these figures are all historic). | netcurtains
25/2/2022 09:24 | P.e 13.2 at 1900p for a pharma company, don't know any other pharma with that rating. What's that's 16 years of continuous dividend growth, yes boring I suppose. | montyhedge
25/2/2022 09:21 | At 1900p p.e 13.2, dividend grows every six months, buy backs every now and then. Ok boring you might say, but steady. | montyhedge
25/2/2022 09:06 | the normal TOTAL HIK share transactions on any given day are 1m (on good day) and 0.4m on average day and 02m on bad day. So, if they bought 5% every other day, they could keep it up for at least three months 5% more buys could actually make the share price rise quite a lot over a month or two or three or four I've edited this WINCANTON volume chart so you can see HIK volumes over the past year: | netcurtains
25/2/2022 08:56 | With max £222m to spend @ ~£20 ps they won't be able to buy more than about 11m shares but they'll find it only too easy to spend the maximum amount.... unless they expect the share price to fall below £10! | boadicea
25/2/2022 08:29 | Give it up you're wrong. | montyhedge
25/2/2022 08:25 | LOL No. Wrong again. What is wrong with you blue59 this morning? The maths is simple | netcurtains
25/2/2022 08:23 | Ergo they won’t be able to spend the $300m if the share price rises above yesterday’s level. | blue59
25/2/2022 08:20 | its not 224m / 24.3m its 224m / MAX 24.3m (they don't say what the LIKELY amount is - probably around what the price is now) | netcurtains
25/2/2022 08:15 | USD 300m = GBP 224m 224m divided by 24.3m = £9.22 Even accepting that the statement is badly written and refers to only the USD 150m first tranche then the average price paid per share can’t be above the current (pitiful) SP! | blue59
25/2/2022 08:05 | Show me your maths. Then I'll explain where you've gone wrong. Eg show me your division equation. | netcurtains
25/2/2022 07:59 | Expand please | blue59
25/2/2022 07:26 | ‘ Any acquisitions under the Initial Tranche will be carried out within certain pre-set parameters, and in accordance with Hikma's general authority to repurchase Ordinary Shares as granted at Hikma's Annual General Meeting on 23 April 2021, pursuant to which the maximum number of Ordinary Shares to be bought back by Hikma may not exceed 24,333,210 Ordinary Shares.’ Am I reading that correctly? If the limit allowable to buy back is a total of 24m shares then the average price paid can’t be more that £9.27 per share???? | blue59
24/2/2022 13:04 | Final 36c up from 34c, share buybacks normally a good thing, I thought. | montyhedge
24/2/2022 11:23 | Salpara111: Ha ha... As if anyone would say anything else .... Such a complicated decision. Shall I invest when 1/2 of Europe has just gone to war? Let me think... Fella, at least wait until BoJo and USA explain their sanctions. I mean anything else would be nuts. | netcurtains
24/2/2022 11:22 | What's the final dividend? | montyhedge
24/2/2022 11:15 | I've had this on mywatchlist for a while as I was waiting for these results. I would agree that they are solid results BUT the company is priced for growth and they have not delivered any profit increase so I'm not terribly surprised by the share price reaction....on any other day I would have expected to see a flat to slightly negative share price reaction but today is not like any other day! I like the business but won't be investing at the moment. | salpara111
24/2/2022 08:34 | So are you saying its a 3% dividend (including the buy back). Its a bit unclear? Have HIK done a buyback before? If not then this is actually very good news. Can someone, with no axe to grind, give us the load down on this buyback. Thanks. | netcurtains
24/2/2022 08:04 | The buyback £300m - how does that equate to the dividend payment - is it about 50% (eg like a dividend increase of 50%?) | netcurtains
24/2/2022 08:01 | Bad day for bringing out figures, share buybacks, nice dividend. | montyhedge |
