09/2/2009 11:55 | Bit of a volatile day but this underpins the share price and should see it increasing substanttially.. "We expect other pharmaceutical companies to expand in the MENA region via acquisitions, and Hikma would be an obvious target," says Panmure Gordon in a note to clients. "This is central to our investment thesis and therefore we reiterate our "buy" recommendation." | fast investor

09/7/2007 08:26 | Davemake - ok not quite NO IDEA ... I have a basic idea... just trying to generate a bit of discussion.... the 4.60 - 4.80 figure is my initial target.. where did I derive it from ? Look at the chart and the June 06 peak... and a bit of gut instinct !... sorry if thats not good enough... but its my money and I make the choice ! As for my honesty... I'm an honest person... simple ! | rajkal
06/7/2007 14:08 | out with gains at 405p; stays on radar, see how it goes | mikehardman
06/7/2007 09:18 | rajkal - I'm intrigued by your honesty!!! you spent money on an asset of which you know very little, know nothing of its potential, with very little info??? Why a price target of $4.60 - £4.80 ? From where did you derive this figure without any info? | davemake
06/7/2007 09:04 | Hey recenty bought into this... at £3.80... don't know much about them... any thoughts on where this is heading ?... or even potential ? ... I've got a price target..approx £4.60 -£4.80 ... possibly ... long term no idea with very little info .. | rajkal

28/5/2007 16:14 | Dear Bruce, All the information I have at hand on HIK is under news on ADVFN. Let me remind you of your words: Both but because I trade about twenty stocks my fundamental knowledge isn't that great on this one compared to others on this BB. I sometimes feel some of the people here are a bit negged out and can get paralysis through over analysis. I see a price, a trading range and I trade it based on the factors swirling in my head at the time. Of course no one gets it right all the time but I reckon I get about 75%+ right - just have to cut 'em when it's not going for you. Right now I feel pretty positive on the company given its outlook, forward p/e, upbeat broker notes and prospective newsflow. The thoughts swirling around my head on this stock are: its revenues and profits to date have been rising expodentially to some extent, the news flow has been generally positive including sensible buyouts of companies, broker notes have been upbeat, current valuation of company seems modest compared with profit, the long term viability of its market seems assured. It is said that there are relatively few players in this market place. The FTSE has risen to record levels in last few months, HIK has slowly weakened. Oh and the obvious seemingly good chart position and a possible pattern of coming of its bottom every 2/3 months???????? The volatilty of Hikma also is good. Questionable I know, but.. Your strategy above interested me, it was on the lines of my own strategy I've developed almost subconsciously. I'm no expert on the finer points of companies statistics and ratios. My brain is easily overloaded with too much information. However I still feel that stock picking can bo done on a 'common sense' basis using limited information. Yes you got to accept the risk and hence why letting the winners run and cutting the losers is a good strategy. Anyway I bought HIK on friday on the above logic. Sorry I haven't any of the infomation you require. I'm still refining my strategy, so only time will tell. What do you think.???? | cambodia
26/5/2007 19:57 | Cambodia - Thanks for your kind words on the SEG thread. In fact I sold half SEG when it dropped below 460p but bought other half back at 428p and sold the lot at 511p, but in the end it proved worthwhile. I will do a bit of research on this company since you suggested it. As I'm not at my work pc, could you help me out on the following: 1: What is the projected consensus p.e. ratio for 2007 and 2008? 2: Do you have a Quick Ratio on the last set of accounts? 3: How much liquid assets do they have? 4: As they are involved in copying other drug manufacturers drugs, do they have any current litigation against them re: patent infringement? The stock looks to be a great buy on the chart, but answers to the above will help the grey matter. Otherwise I'll get the answers on Tuesday. | bruce meinhoff
25/5/2007 18:01 | Who's watching HIK.??? End of downward trend which started in March??? Will it now play catch up with FTSE gains of last 2 months. Supported by fundamentals. Who's thinking Bounce??? | cambodia |
