                           Highland Gold Mining Limited


As announced in the preliminary results statement for the six months to 31
December 2002, Highland Gold Mining Limited will pay a first dividend of US$0.01
per share to reflect the 19 days of the reporting period for which the company
was trading on the Alternative Investment Market.  The ex dividend date is 7 May
2003.  The record date is 9 May 2003. The dividend will be payable on 13 June
2003.
