These dumpers will be well short gold stocks before the event.

This is so easily pushed around, I wondered why goldies were struggling when gold was pretty steady then whack gold gets hit. MMM, now if I was one for conspiracy theories you'd think some knew gold was going to get hit.

Hedge fund says lets short some gold stocks then later in the day we'll hit gold, now get a few of them doing it, no that doesn't happen.

A ten percent retrace from 147p could have easily
been accepted but anymore in this wonderful sector

Look at how it consolidated under 100p for 3 months before breaking, its now doing the very same with 150p.

It's all sabre rattling, Putin isnt interested in the rest of Ukraine, just looking for negotiating angles. I watch other stocks based in Russia, no reaction from them at all.
Gold is more likely to go up anyway if trouble surfaces.
Consolidating is my guess, it can't just keep going up
Avg gold price this quarter will be up on the last so I expect a run up into Sep results.

Yes, the mm's trying to shake out as many as possible
at month end. The big money players back next week,
just as the nice flag is forming on the chart, a little
consolidation before the rise to 200p at year end.
