29/7/2017 14:34 | If HGM is taken over it might have to be a Russian buyer - I wouldn't be surprised if Mr Putin had a quiet word with Mr Abramovich if some entirely foreign-owned company started sniffing around. | zangdook

27/7/2017 18:38 | the reason why i bought in here was the fact that the capex to get Kekura into production will be paid for mostly out of cash flows. the pfs estimated initial capex of $180m which includes $13m for contingencies. Kekura is currently under initial site construction and the HGM capex budget for this year has $55m of the $180m ear marked here. last year they paid off $42m of debt. imo nil will be paid off this year as that money will mostly cover the extra capex to build Kekura. so if they have the same revenues and opex as last year, they are still $13m short fall between the extra Kekura capex and the $42m that was available last year to pay off debt. they paid $12m interest on their loans last year, but that has been fixed down by nearly 1% to 4.5%. that will save them $2m in interest, plus another $3m as they reduced their debt by 1/5 last year. so just $8m to find. they could cut the dividend which cost them $32m last year and i would be happy with that. or they could increase debt using the $227m debt facility they have available to them. then again avg gold price realised last year was $1222 and the average is higher than that atm. another 2 years of the same and the Kekura capex is self funded without any extra debt and maybe the same dividend too. then an extra 200,000 oz pa production after that and the profits that entail. :-) on the subject of Kekura. they have a big and very prospective land package around which will further feed the mine, which they are exploring atm. i'd expect HGM to be bought out before any of this comes to fruition as the majors will be also looking forward not just at current production. especially when HGM has another 3 mines in the making. 600k oz at Klen, 3.7m oz at Unkurtash and 5m oz at Taseevskoye, with more to come as the whole portfolio of licences continues to be explored and drilled. | penfold6
27/7/2017 16:33 | From the company (5.6.2017): "A definitive feasibility study is currently in development and scheduled for completion this autumn, with a view towards beginning commercial production in 2020." | mikkydhu
27/7/2017 12:42 | When is Kekura due to come on line ? | catswhiskas
27/7/2017 09:46 | I've held this for around 5 years and will continue to hold until Kekura comes online at the very least. Compared to some of the situations the company has had to deal with in the past few years (Russian sanctions, significantly lower gold prices than where we stand now, large debt pile at a time of sky high Russian interest rates etc) the company seems in rude health to me and many of those uncertainties are not currently of major concern. In hindsight the timing of the Kekura purchase wasn't the best at the peak of the gold price but it undoubtedly appears a world class resource which when it comes online will push this company onto another level entirely | wilco1000
